Ok the first one I have in mind is Martin Luther King.
What a Christian hero! Using the gospel, living the gospel and making a difference. I have a dream. That I meet him one day. To thank him for his inspirational life. Such courage. He put himself on the front line. At the coal face. No hypocrisy. He taught us how to be assertive. To avoid aggression. He showed us how to "turn the other cheek". To love your enemy for surely he had many enemies.
MLK , a gift from God.

There are many leaders, people in the forefront whoget the attention of others.
But every person in the limelight there are many others who are working to support them.
They are the ones who Jesus was talking about, when the last will be first.

In acts because of persecution Christians scattered and gossip the gospel where they went spreading Christianity over a greater aea than Paul.
It is these unknown who will be first .

Still we need good old fashioned heroes. There were many good people who helped the civil rights movement. But how many died for it?

A hero is only valuable if one knows why he/she behaved the way they did.

Telling modern children about Elizabeth Fry and her work and while they might understand some of it. If they don't understand why she did what she did her work becomes valueless.

Dietrich Bonhoeffer
Died for his faith at the hands of the Nazis. What a Christian!

Perry stone is my hero, he has so much insight and has a beautiful persona when he preaches. I can tell he loves God, and has been through his fair share of issues and problems, but he remains strong as an OX. He inspires me to study scripture, and my views in life and in the bible is similar to his. He reminds me of my mentors when i was very young. They were just like him. Its so natural to say Jesus is my hero, i wanted to talk about another human as i am.
