Christian Music Albums/DVD's/Live Shows

I also would like to add Qwel, he's a hip hop artist from Chicago.
There's a song he wrote to Yah. This is from his album 'The Harvest'..youtube / watch?v=zy37ym00p6E

Yes, depending on my mood, I do like the metal feel of Skillet, Disciple, or Pillar. My gentleman isn't so fond of it but that's OK. The guitars speak without speaking if that makes sense. :)

Hi there: just wondered: is your gentleman getting used to your metal, yet? :)

You're into the metal feel, right?

Blessings.

Oh yeah, I'm definitely into the more edgy music. And no, my gentleman is definitely not getting used to my music. There's quite a bit of musical offerings we do agree on though (I find some of his stuff TOO mellow).

Well, often it's the other way round, right? :) I'm sure he'll have to appreciate you as a rugged, modern lady, anyway.

I was listening to Disciple's Watch it Burn, from Horseshoes and Handgrenades. You probably know it; so do you like it when they really roar the lyrics, with the heavy drums in the background?

Blessings.

LOL yeah we do get along quite well and he seems to be OK with my "non traditional" upbringing. I'm a yankee, he's a southern boy. About opposites really! Ahem.

I have that album, Horseshoes and Handgrenades. Watch It Burn is a good one. There is also another song on that album ... can't think of the name of it ... but the chorus is "You're not invisible to me" ... its a softer song with a very good message ...

I reckon the message is a separate thing from the style, really. The message is the most important part, of course.

In terms of style, if you really like Disciple's Watch it Burn, and similar music, you must be Hard Rock/Heavy Metal lady at least some of the time, I guess.

Blessings.

I have two Gungor CDs.
I don't listen to much of the "popular" music.
I have everything from Resurrection Band and Glenn Kaiser, Tourniquet, The 77's, and Ashley Cleveland.
Most of my music is "classic rock" in style: blues and blues-based rock. I also like some heavy metal.
Over the past few years, I've been listening mostly to Neal Morse, Hope For The Dying, Sleeping Giant, and Becoming the Archetype.
I love Disciple's older music (What was I Thinking, My Daddy Can Whip Your Daddy, This Might Sting A Little, By God, and Back Again). Of their more recent music, I like a few songs on Southern Hospitality.
