Is there a short circuit in the power system?


Another poster asked where is the power? However, I would like to take another angle at this subject. Believer today are missing something that explains why we have no power.

Yeshua said that we would be endowed with power from on high by the Holy Spirit and that we would do greater works. The Gospel of the Kingdom of God was accompanied with signs and wonders. People were healed and demons cast out as the Gospel message went forth. People were impressed by the message and the witnessing of the power that supported the message. In other words, people knew that the message had power, because it worked. Paul, Barnabas, and Phillip were not one of the original twelve, but the power flowed and the signs and wonders followed the messages they gave.

Most believers think that God did not give believers the same power today to accompany the messengers. They say, God only gave the apostles and the first century Israelite saints the approbation to perform signs and wonders. Hence they put it on God as to the reason why the demonstration of power has been cut off. They believe the message is good enough all by itself.

However, the problem is not on God's end. He did not cut the power off after a short period of time after the 2nd century A.D. The problem is on our endof the relationship. We are causing the short circuit.

Who knows what is causing the short circuit. The Spirit tells me that it is a lack of personal holiness. I speculate that we it could be attributed to unbelief (we do believe the power is suppose to flow through us), sin (we are in a state of sin that defiles us), and not following Scripture in spirit and truth (we are not observing and practicing proscribed Scriptural protocols meant to channel the power).

I want this same power to be used in this capacity to come against the devil to destroy his kingdom and set the captives free. Where is the short in the power line? The short in my system is caused by my lack of deeper personal holiness, knowledge/revelation of Yeshua, and patterns of respecting God. This is why I am attempting to study and exchange with my fellow saints this subject of fixing the short in the power system. I welcome your input greatly, thanks in advance.

If 1st. Corinthians would be studied by the Church, and understood. It would explain where the power, and gifts have gone. But no one ever likes to see themselves!, inwardly that is.

Some people like to think that the Church will win the world, but the World has already won that battle, and won the Church.

Carnal Christians, if you want to call them that! make up more than 95% of the Church, so how would any spiritual gifts be observed in such a case. You will see no difference in its members, than you would see on any street USA. They are Coveting, Greedy, Rude, Lovers of pleasure, Divorce even more often, Fight with one another, Never open a Bible, etc, etc.
