This is a language I don't speak. Its the language of Biblical Christians.
Mind you I do use "praise the Lord " in normal secular conversation.
And "God Bless" of course.
"Turn the other cheek" I might use playfully.

"brother" I don't use. I'm not comfortable with it. It sounds saccharine. Insincere. Just my bias I guess.

"but you need to read Corinthians 13"
I would never say that to someone.
I might answer :
"You need to live Corinthians 13"

We just speak normally to people. Avoid Biblical quotes, in my opinion. But I know many of you are comfortable talking that way , so that's fine.

This is what makes life makes so interesting. Everyone speaks and presents themselves in a different way. You are unique Humble, so is everyone else. God made us all unique.
You ate right to be yourself.
By the same rule we all have different battles to fight, to be the person God wants us to be.
One of the mamy good things about this forum- we can pick and choose what we want to read about.
I love everyone here and learn many things reading the posts . I believe each one of us have something to offer.
I am glad you are here to share everything you do.

Corinthians 13?. I have never spoken in tounges, I have heard people so called speak in tounges but they just sounded like a gong boasting in front of an audience, maybe because i didn't think they were sincere. I have spoken in a language no one understands, but that was only after a few beers.

Oh I have spoken drunkese on several occasions. Hardly ever these days. It's a very easy language to speak. Requires no inhibitions.

13 If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal.

But I love the sound of percussion! The driving beat!

Please study this post. Those of you who want to emulate Tessa's ability to connect with everyone. There is no embellishment. She speaks plainly. That's all you have to do.

Generally if one's lifestyle matches one words than the language or style of speaking is ignored, it is the reality before them that counts.

That is the hard language to speak.
