Christianity Explained In 5 minutes
Adam and Eve desired to became a God which was the promise made by Satan, the serpent, if they ate the forbidden fruit.
Once Adam and Eve acquired the knowledge of good and evil by their disobedience, God said in Genesis 3:22 ….“man has become like one of us knowing good and evil” (Genesis 3:22). Both Adam and Eve had became like God...their own God!
Remember that the very first commandment is to 'not have any other gods before me' (hint: put no other Gods before God, which includes ourselves). Eve was tempted by Satan to eat of the forbidden fruit so she can be just like God. So when Adam and Eve ate the forbidden fruit God then said, “man has become like one of us knowing good and evil” (Genesis 3:22). When Adam and Eve acquired the knowledge of good and evil they became as God said, “like one of us.” Instantly they both became their own God and they were both instantly in violation of God's first commandment by appearing before God as a God.....they placed another God before God...as themselves! For which Adam and Eve were both expelled from Paradise.
When God looks upon all of his believers (hint: all those who believe in Jesus Christ) God doesn't see a man or woman being their own God anymore by having the Knowledge of Good and Evil. God will see the person of Jesus Christ/Holy Spirit, who is God also, having the same knowledge of Good and Evil as man, and therefore becoming a surrogate for us so we can stand before God without violating God's first commandment! Man becomes one with God through a belief in Jesus Christ. We no longer are a separate God in front of God, but as a God himself through the indwelling Holy Spirit.
One day everyone will stand before God and if God doesn't see the presence of Jesus Christ/Holy Spirit in us (hint: as a reflection of himself) then we will have declared that we are our own God and God will see another God standing before him which would violate his very first commandment! Any person who has not believed in the death and resurrection of God's son Jesus Christ will not have the indwelling of the Holy Spirit and instead of God seeing himself in us he will see a person who is their own God and will suffer the second death which is eternal life apart from God.
The Law (hint: The 10 Commandments) can never save us! We can't even get passed God's very first commandment without the help of Jesus Christ – who is God become man!
Believe in the death and resurrection of God's son Jesus Christ and rest assured that you'll spend eternity in heaven with God the Father, God the Son Jesus Christ, and God the Holy Spirit!
God Bless
note:
The destruction of the first temple represents the death due to original sin. The destruction of the second temple (hint: as our body is the temple of the Holy Spirit) represents the second death where we will either be forgiven by the death and resurrection of God's son Jesus Christ and gain eternal life with God the Father, God the Son Jesus Christ (god become man), and God the Holy Spirit. Or we'll be sent to eternal damnation apart from God in hell because we have chosen to be our own God before God and therefore violate God's very first commandment...forever!
Amen
