I used to be into all these artsy movies. I was younger then, etc. etc.

Now that I'm a Christian, I just don't watch movies. Its not moral superiority. I went to Teen Challenge, and saw very little TV and very few movies for 1 year. That changed my media intake habits profoundly.

Anyway, how do you "guard your heart" ? Is it something that's become more or less important to you as you advance in your Christian life? How do you deal with media stuff with kids and grand kids?

I have given up many things for God.That includes movies.I would not mind watching a movie if it was clean and if I thought God would approve of it.That leaves out the movies that are made today. It could include a very old movie. Many years ago I used to watch television,go to movies, listen to secular music but no more.I am so glad I can see the changes in me that God has given me :) I have prayed for that and God has Blessed me.

I've not put such restrictions on myself. I've just found that over the years of being a Christian, my tastes and priorities changed and I don't enjoy a lot of the stuff that I see non-Christians doing as much. Maybe that would have happened anyway? I don't know. But I think it has a lot to do with God changing my heart. It's not that I feel a lot of the things I don't do (or don't watch) are really that sinful for me to do or watch. I just get more enjoyment and personal satisfaction out of things that give more glory to God.
