Christians Vs Jehovas Witness.

Hello,

My friends is a Jehovah's witness, what can i do (aside from praying) to help him?
i need stuff from scripture that disproves there take on Jesus.

He/she won't listen.
Been there done that but with Mormonism.

Why not show him/her what you have in Christ that he or she doesn't? The freedom, the love and the hope of promise. Preach Christ, not debate. Keeping Christ front and center is always a good idea.

If he or she says something different then don't attack it like it's the only way. Bite your tongue and let scripture show who Christ really is and what He's offering. Confrontation must be avoided and sometimes taking something on the chin is better than duking it out. You can be firm in your witness without being confrontational.

So ask yourself, "what do I have that they don't?"
Then tell them.

To answer that question you may need some research as you've requested but please don't use the knowledge to bash. Use it to answer the above and you'll be ok.

Thanks i will try that,

I found this book in my libray "Jehovahs witnesses; answeared verse by verse by David A. Reed. its interesting, i lent it to him and he saw one thing he did not agree with and dropped the whole thing.

man i wish the battle for God was more on a physical line, like my job in the army ,it would be so much easyeir :sad

You're up against the most powerful enemy man has ever known. What makes it even worse is we are so much more accustomed to the physical rather than the spiritual. And the enemy knows this. He'll come at you using your emotions and pride against you, another arrow in his quiver we're not accustomed to deflecting or even recognising.

Back off a bit now. Wait to see if he brings up the subject. Be patient.
Also remember the one asking the questions controls the conversation. And keep the questions as non-confrontational as possible. Again, be patient. It sounds to me like he's not going anywhere and neither are you. Time is on YOUR side.

And keep in mind if it's to be it will be. If not then praise God for the experience. You'll need that anyway.

Oh, and something else that's rather important... for you.
His salvation is not your responsibilty.
It's said:
You can lead a horse to water but you can't make him drink.

Don't be tempted to put salt in his oats. :-D

he came to me today and wanted the book 8-) it appears as if he took the bait, we shall see tomorrow.

I haven't had a lot to do with JW's, but I do live in Utah the Mormon capital of the world and the two are rather similar. So from my many many experiences with witnessing to Mormons just let me say this, the best thing to do is live and love. Be there for them pray for them let them see the love of GOD in you, and whatever you do never attack the founder of their faith that will turn them off faster than you can imagine.
