Christians with ungodly children

Its quite a big blow...a big blow in the face when a true Christian struggles with the issue of the ungodliness of their children. Impiety and total disinterest in the things of God among our children...have a way of negatively pulling one down or weakening our walk with the Lord.

What could be the problem? Parents are not doing it well or enough? God testing us? The enemy fighting against us...knowing that going through our children can be our area of vulnerability?

There are cases where children beat up their parents, kill them, daughters involved in prostitution, parents moving from one police station to another to bail a child etc

Some must have regretted having those children.

Our free will. When our children rebel against our teaching it gives us a little taste of what God feels I suspect.

A born again father and mother do their best to raise their children with the Lord. That father and mother have been given these children and basically these children have been loaned to them while they are on this earth. That couple are responsible for teaching God's word to their children. That couple have to be the salt and light of this world to their children. They can not go to Church on Sunday and live for Satan the rest of the week. They need to read the word of God to them often. That couple will be judged on how they raised them in the Bema Seat Judgment.Sometimes no matter how Godly a couple are in raising their children they will go astray. It happens. They may come back and they may not. They know God's word from the home they were raised. They are then in God's hands.

Our family friend has a similar problem. They are true Christians but the children are a blessing (I wish not to use 'curse')
