SOME PERSON ASKED ME IN SOME OTHER FORUM..
QUESTION : Christmas Eve Dinner is very special in our house. We always have dinner by candlelight and use our best china when we are at home. What will you be doing for Christmas Eve this year?

MY REPLY IS HERE......

CHRISTMAS = CHRIST + MAS (MAS = worship)
Jesus is born in our hearts.. every day is celebration..
if Jesus is born in Bethlehem and not born in our hearts what is the use?
We need to born again in spirit ..
So traditional festival is not use
Spiritual festival is life long
Jesus is born again in our hearts..

DINNER : Jesus is born to die for us,....
Mat 26:26 And as they were eating, Jesus took bread, and blessed it, and brake it, and gave it to the disciples, and said, Take, eat; this is my body.
Mat 26:27 And he took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, Drink ye all of it;
Mat 26:28 For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.
Joh 6:53 Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, ye have no life in you.
Joh 6:54 Whoso eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day.
Joh 6:55 For my flesh is meat indeed, and my blood is drink indeed.
Joh 6:56 He that eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, dwelleth in me, and I in him.
Joh 6:57 As the living Father hath sent me, and I live by the Father: so he that eateth me, even he shall live by me.
So we need to stop the feasts of world
every person need to born again and need to break bread to eat and drink in the table of Jesus..

CANDLE LIGHT ; Jesus said .. ye are the light of the world
we need to shine..
Dan 12:3 And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever.
we need to shine.. not to keep and live in darkness
BRETHREN Past is past
we are not traditional people.. we are new creature in Jesus
need to fallow the truth and fundamentals..
not like worldly people.... pl think,,
FOR ME I AM REJOICING EVERY DAY AND CELEBRATING EVERY DAY.. BECAUSE I AM LIVING IN JESUS..
GOD BLESS YOU ALL

In times past people would celebrate different holidays with a feast. (Food was more expensive and not as available as today)

The feast of Stephan AKA Boxing Day follows Christmas...but usually there was a mass for Christ on Jesus' Birthday.

Traditions shift over the years...but usually there is a root of truth to them.

Yes i agree with you...
God is showing few facts to me..
whole Christians are going to divert from truth..
a Christian need to know what is the true celebration in Jesus
let us hope and like minded people need to gather to bring some impact on this
blessings

I totally disagree.
There is every good reason to celebrate the one event that made our salvation possible.
It is the only event in the history of the world by which all other events are dated.
If Christ had not been born, we would all be pagans worshiping idols.
We need to celebrate what God has done for us and setting aside one day out of the year to do so is a very good idea.

So did you know,.. how the celebrations are running?
a person without born again experience is dancing in the time of festival
many people doing their own business in this festival season.
they are focusing to hold candles by forgetting (they are candles)
here is questions
why the apostles not celebrated the birth of Jesus?
they said.. we are proclaiming the gospel of crucified Christ.. why they are not celebrated.,.
did you know the early church never celebrated Christmas, why

Only from A.D 365 (or some year) they started the Christmas celebration..
why 3 and half centuries Christmas is not celebrated?
word of God saying.. we are working on the foundation of apostles,.,.

pl think and try to made comments.. saying and rejecting is your will
but i have researched and i got some information how the early church is celebrated,..,
i am trying to fallow same.. Do as Holy spirit is doing in your heart,..
blessings to you

When my first off-spring was born, a new tradition was introduced into my household.

We celebrated Christmas dinner as a birthday party. We sang Happy Birthday to Jesus, and either put candles on one of the desserts or had a special candle lit.

As my children grew up, they knew full well that Jesus is definitely the reason for this season we shall soon celebrate.

Now, in their own households, their children are growing up to celebrate Christmas as a birthday party for Jesus.

So what?
That doesn't change the reasons for Christians to celebrate the birth of the Savior.
why the apostles not celebrated the birth of Jesus?
How do you know that?
Can you cite a document that says they did not?
Do you have any proof at all that they did not?
No? Then you are arguing from silence. (Speculation)
did you know the early church never celebrated Christmas, why
Says who?
Only from A.D 365 (or some year) they started the Christmas celebration..
why 3 and half centuries Christmas is not celebrated?
SO what?
It is still one of the two most important events in history. (The other being His resurrection.)
SO lets celebrate what God has done for us.
What's your problem?
word of God saying.. we are working on the foundation of apostles,.,.
Do you take holidays off from work like 4th of July, Memorial Day, Labor Day, New Year's Day, Thanksgiving? (Assuming you live in the USA)
None of them are from the "foundation of the apostles." They're secular holidays.
But you have a problem with celebrating the Birth of the Savior?
but i have researched and i got some information how the early church is celebrated,..,
You "got some information"; great.
So what?
The early church celebrated what is today called the "Mass" in RCC churches. Do you do that?
(Justin Martyr: (AD 100-165) The First Apology of Justin, Chapter LXVII.—Weekly Worship of the Christians.)
It is a good thing to celebrate the act of God's love for mankind for the Word of God to have been born as a man in order to save mankind.
If you have a problem with that then it is YOUR problem.

Enjoy your problem.

I like to have a birthday cake for Jesus every year. Whenever I go to the bakery and have "Happy Birthday Jesus" put on it, you can tell the people feel like they are doing something for the King. It is a touching moment.

Oh, I was going to say also. Some people don't even acknowledge birthdays, period. I don't necessarily think you have to celebrate someone being born...............But, if anyone should be celebrated for being born...........Jesus is the most important.

Some place i believe in Exodus God tells them to have feasts so the children will remember...

These feast were not part of the Christmas celebration.
It is interesting that even countries that are atheistic KEEP Christmas. I do not argue about those who keep the traditions.
I stick to what the Prophet Jeremiah says.

Jer. 10.2Learn not the way of the heathen, and be not dismayed at the signs of heaven; for the heathen are dismayed at them.
Christmas and the traditions associated with it orignated in paganism.
The Ancient Roots of Christmas Customs | Ancient Origin.

  1. It ALL Began in BABYLON | All false religion started in Babylon

I stopped celebrating this festival when I saw that it has no relation to Jesus, and I was just 14 years at the time. I have not regretted.

The feasts mentioned in Exodus are the feast of the Lord.

Agree abide... my point was only celebrating the Lord with a feast causes the children to remember What do we want them to remember

Christmas and the traditions associated with it orignated in paganism.

Christmas (Christ Mass) is the celebration of the coming of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Christ's birth has NOTHING whatsoever to do with anything pagan.
The origin of Christmas is Christians celebrating the birth of Christ.

Retail stores have taken advantage of that celebration and turned it into something secular. (Pagan)

But CHRISTIANS celebrate the birth of Christ on Christmas and nothing else.

I find in scripture that we are to remember Christ's death until he returns but I find no where are we to celebrate his birth.

I am sure..
Christ need to born in hearts,
unless he is not in heart.. no use with celebration in tradition

I am sure..
history, encyclopedia, Wikipedia both are saying..
3 and half centuries .. early church never celebrated this..
a King started this celebration.. ... Bible never said to celebrate the birth days
only two people in bible is celebrated the birth days.. 1. Pharaoh .., 2. Herod .... they are not believers in God
a person need to born again.. unless born again .. no use with celebration
our works can not save us
we are forgiven, we are redeemed ... every is celebration for us..
specially every sunday is celebration .. so we are worshiping,. remembering and breaking bread..
that is great festival (the bride) gathering on Sunday..

I am sorry ... if i hurt any one..
i love to celebrate every day,,,, God bless you all

Do you really need to be told?
Do you celebrate His resurrection? (Because, if He wasn't raised then your faith is in vain any you are still in your sins.)(1Co 15:17)
A little less religion and a little more common sense might be in order.
