We just got finished watching this and me and my 8 year old were both crying. Right before the Lion scene, she jumped up crying and said she didn't want to watch anymore. I had to explain how the Lion could represent and for her to remember what happened.
She would eventually stop crying and be ok, but then something else would happen and she would cry. I then made a HUGE mistake of explaining to her how one day Jesus would fight against Satan and that I wasn't sure if we would be part of Jesus's army or not. BIG mistake. She freaked out thinking she would have to ride on a horse and kill people.
Exactly WHO is it that will be part of that "war"?
Back to the movie....
All in all, I thought it was GREAT. It was very powerful. I know that it's not exactly the story of Jesus, but I still thought it was good and sent a good message (until I messed it all up by freaking my kid out).
