This movie is coming out soon, and I couldnt be more exited about this suttle envangelism tool. This faith-based movie will bring thousands of hearts to Christ, I am sure of it. So far I have only seen previews, but I know that this is going to be a powerful movie and reach tons of lives, I just can't wait to see it. I encourage everyone to take as many people as they can to this film, especially non-believers, this would be a great way to reach out to them.

EXCITING OPPORTUNIY..

..especially as Left Behind 3 & The Gospel are also out now!! :angel:

Yep, Narnia is hitting theatres December 9th, and I'm excited! I really want to go see it; it's supposed to be really good! I haven't seen any previews, but I don't watch much TV either.

I too hope that this movie becomes a great evangelism tool! It would be awesome for people to become saved after watching this movie. We just have to pray that God will move on hearts, and I'm sure He will.

It sounds like a pretty cool movie. I wonder if they messed it up tho. I hope not!

Anyone see it yet? I'm trying to choose between this and King Kong for a Friday night date--any thoughts or impressions?

I saw it and really liked it. But I don't think it will be a great evangalism tool. The symbolism is there, but probably to vague for a nonchristian to pick up on if they didn't already know the biblical stories and events.

I hope it does have an affect on people, it may, but I don't think this will be a massive revival inducing film.

Very good and I do suggest seeing it.

We definitely plan on seeing it. Especially since we have all the Chronicles of Narnia books (which btw are selling for a ridiculous price. At Borders I saw a Chronicles of Narnia for Dummies.) We only hope that the movie is as close to the book as possible.

i think the main thing of narnia is that its an AMASING tool for parents to communicate the Gospel to their kids on a fantasy level. I absolutely loved the movie, theres so much depth and deeper meaning in it, I have to go see it again.

how many of the characters did you identify?

Edmund = judas
Peter = Peter
Lion = jesus
Witch = devil
... theres many more.

but the relevance was to me simply astounding.
- the way the creatures turned to stone was "awakened": Ezekiel 11:19 I will remove from them their heart of stone and give them a heart of flesh.
- many rooms, many closets, but only ONE lead to the way...
- ...

I agree. Going in I didn't tell my family anything about the movie and they knew nothing about it. My husband 'got it', but I had to explain the symbolism even to my oldest son.
But it's really a good movie.

Just came back from taking my 6 yr old son to it. One word,
FANTASTIC

Although my son didn't catch the symbolism, he "got" it :wink:
btw: His favorite part was when they went to battle :-D
His saddest part was when the Lion died
His favorite person was...ummm, the ones that were half horse, half human.
He didn't like the witch.
He was sad, mad and happy with the 'traitor'.

Did I say that my son is a little bit carnal minded? :lol:
Yeah, it was really good...especially all those weird looking critters....The scenery made you feel like you were right there in it.

What an awesome movie.. my wife and I just bought the book since neither of us has read it yet.. the movie was full of revelation .. great stuff!

This movie ROCKED!

I would go see it again. I've had teh book but never read it, but I am now. OMG this is SUCH an amzing movie. Anyone notice how the Lion gave his life to redeem the one who was a traior (ie: sinned)

And supposable in the book, he died and rose again in three days.

I think this would be a good movie to buy when I can for my grandchildren, there are few movies with real meaning these days.

Blessed are the peacemakers for they shall be called the children of God.
