I have been playing this game since it came out about 2 or 3 months ago. It is pretty fun. Half of the game is making a character. You can spend hours playing Barbi dressup with your character. You can change colors, heads bodies, insignias, etc. Millions of possibilities with character look. Character generation has a good number of paths.

You chose an archtype like blaster (distance, good damage, low health), tanker (good armor, good health, low damage) etc. Then you chose a major power line and a minor one. Each power will be used for the life of the chaacter. You can add enchancement slots to customize a power. Like an energy blast could be enchanced to be very damaging or to be more accurate or to strike from a great distance.

Missions are pretty fun. You follow story lines from your contacts and uncover dastardly deeds as you save people. The game supports solo play as well as group play.

They are coming out with City of Villians next year so people can play a bad guy. Overall, it is a pretty fun game. When you run out of missions for a level, it can be a grind to get to the next level to get new missions.

Yeah, I've heard that's an awesome game (City of Villains is more awesome though) but I'm just not willing to pay the monthly fee.

I have a relative who plays city of heroes. Dr. Chicanery, or G-gnome, or a few other characters.
He's addicted to it. Played it for 18 hours straight one time.
See if you can locate him online, but, don't tell him I told you about him.
18 hours of playing that game!
Is that bad?
Anyone read the bible for 18 hours straight?

he likes to be a controller, a tanker, or something else, but, I forgot what it is.

I bought the game wanting t play, but I don't want to worry about the online fees either... I won't be playing that much.
