In 2 Thessalonians, Chapter 2, Verse 9-12.

The coming of the lawless one will be in accordance with the work of Satan displayed in all kinds of counterfeit miracles, signs and wonders, and in every sort of evil that deceives those who are perishing. They perish because they refused to love the truth and so be saved. For this reason God sends them a powerful delusion so that they will believe the lie and so that all will be condemned who have not believed the truth but have delighted in wickedness.

The Question: Is this passage saying that God will send a delusion to deliberately decieve us? And will MAKE us believe the lawless one's counterfeit miracles, signs and wonders against are will?

Perhaps I have not read this part very carefully.

I am going to drag the subject of my other post on evil here as I think it is relevant. IF a Christian is doing what Christians do day in and day out does it matter what delusions God may throw out?If you are not looking for signs HOW can you be decieved? Only if you are concerned about saving your physical life should you be concerned and you are clearly advised not too.

Good question. Reading just this part is not enough. After studying End Times for a few years now, I believe these signs and delusions are not for true Christians; meaning the ones who hear and respond the the Shepherd's voice. They are meant for the unbelieving world; the ones who demand proof, signs, wonders, whatever.

Like I said in Rez's other thread, We don't need signs, we have promises. We only desire to understand the signs and prophecies God has already given.

If you are secure in your Faith, don't you think that's enough?

Hi, God is in charge! He will have us who are here on earth alive, who claim to Love Him, to be tested for the real truth of our profession. (mine)
He is about to wrap it all up, so it will require a simple yet REAL FAITH to be Eternally safe to save. See Nahum 1:9 And testing you can be sure will be real TESTINGS! Miracles?? The world will believe anyone who works miracles, huh? :sad

The Eternity of the Godheads Covenant is for [ALL] of His creation having freedom of 'will'. Earth, after sin became the devil's place to use (Matthew 4:9-10) He took over Adam's lost 'intrusted conditional' domain with God's consent and with 'boundaries'! See Matthew 4:6 with Psalms 91:11 + Deuteronomy 6:16

This is why you read that God did this or that, at times. God has allowed it. Study Hebrews 12:4-8 in the K.J. Notice that God LOVES these ones & that they are PARTAKERS! Also take note why God chasteneth [ALL] the ones that He LOVES?(Born Again)
