tt:

Hi; the Lord Jesus said: 'If ye love me, keep my commandments'.

It's a funny idea of being born again if the person feels s/he can habitually and flagrantly omit to follow the Lord Jesus.

That is a thought to be considered but it is ot the ed all of this subject. I do not subscribe to the Womack line of teaching, as a rule, because he teaches that "The" evidence of salvation is the speaking in tongues and I will tell you that speaking in tongues is, as Paul taught in his letters, the least of the gifts of the Holy Spirit and to view it otherwise, borders on heresy.

But when we come to this issue of salvation we need to remember not to jump the gun and run off without a good deal of study. For instance, when we look at Matthew 22:1-14 we find Jesus painting a picture of Heaven. When we also look at chapter 25:1-13 we see a picture of levels of faithfulness that has a complete spectrum of possible application, both in spiritual and in natural matters.

In the Wedding Feast Parable we see many, in fact much more, guests and then only one Bride. We know from continued study that this is not literal because the scriptures also teach that few (More than one) will enter into the Narrow Gate. This is usually, and correctly applied to those going to heaven as being the few and with this and other scripture we learn that the Bride of Christ is not a singular concept but rather is limited in scope and number and that number is not one.

And then, as we devote time to faithful study of the scriptures learn that anyone that is in Heaven for the Wedding (the first resurrection) will remain there for Eternity, while those standing the Great White Throne Judgement will never see anything else of Heaven but will die the Eternal Death. So with this you can see why I have posted the string.

when we are born again, we have the Lord of Jesus in us, the holy spirit dwell in us and we enter the spiritual Kingdom of God.

We have to be a disciple to abide by the rules of the Kingdom.

People who say they are born again and don't want to be a disciple are deceiving themselves because Bible also summarise what a born again person is, and it's a disciple.

I everyone. I'm new here. :)

Definition of disciple of Jesus = follower of Jesus = following & living according to his teachings

I don’t think that a person can be born again and not be a disciple of Christ at all for the rest of his human life on earth because when a person accepts Christ, he is born again and the Holy Spirit comes to dwell inside the person. The Holy Spirit leads, teaches us & empowers us to live a godly life.

However, a person can for a time not follow Jesus because of life’s struggles. Example -
Jack (as example) accepts Christ & receives the Holy Spirit. He may be enthusiastic in the beginning but because of life’s struggles, he gets caught up with the things of the world instead of being in fellowship with other brothers and sisters in Christ and not reading the word to fill his mind and heart with Christ, so he ends up not following Christ (Luke 8:14 The seed that fell among thorns stands for those who hear, but as they go on their way they are choked by life’s worries, riches and pleasures and they do not mature).
Jack is saved, but not following Christ as he is living according to worldly standards.
His Spirit is saved because of Christ but his body is dead to sin as he is following his sinful nature instead of the Holy Spirit.
However, I do believe that after a time, the Holy Spirit who indwells within Jack will convict his soul and bring him back to commune with the Lord
