cosemtic surgery over-rated

I think plastic surgery is unnecessary and unattractive.

But... I do think its ok when someone needs facial surgery for injuries and acid burns or fire burns or a cleft palate.. Reconstruction is ok.

Otherwise for vanity reasons I just don't think its a beneficial thing to do.

Some women ,such as my wife wants a breast lift.women who loose weight after a lot of Gain will have excess skin.I think it's subjective.many a times weight lifting and or weight loss may include being dine over vanitym

I think its cool that they have the technology, but...it seems like a lot of procedures are still risky, at least...there's more risk than the hyped up media coverage would leave you to believe.

I dunno. This article was just about face lifts, I think. Nothing against those who get them, but....I do think that the media overplays the abilities of plastic surgeons, and they also underplay the risks.

Any "Procedure" is risky and will, possibly, terminate you. If you need to look a certain way for your mate to love you... there is no love!

I wouldn't suggest that but if my wife wanted one to help her esteem.I will support

But vanity is sin and lolling around in sin is not a good thing, no matter how we rationalize it. God has set the parameters and they never move.

It's vanity to some but not others.

Is being an athletic person vain at times?
Depends on the sport.

Bodybuilding is very much that.

A singer is slashed in her face, scars galor.voice is able to be used.but she wants surgery.to her that look sells.if you don't think that looks do sell music ,even in ccm.I can post images of klove award winning female singers .they do have an image to sell.photographera do pose them and make up is used.I'm sure a few touch up is done on the photos.

Is could be said it would be vain if I went on a proper diet to get my six pack abs back,I had them. My wife has seen the photos.she finds its sexy.so how on earth is it vain if I want her to feel that way? Or she wants to feel that way?

That is not the Word of God and we either live for and because of God or we go to the Eternal Lake of Fire. Vanity is sin! Unrepented sin is fatal. Reasoning things out of our minds for concern is, has been, and always will be fatal.

There is a difference between healthy self esteem and vanity :)

I don't think being attracted to your partner is vanity.

Vanity is defined as : "excessive pride in one's appearance"

And my wife has never gone under the knife but when the act of love was still important, turn the lights off and the grey hair became blond and the wrinkles were never there. She remains, to this day, in the dark, that same blond headed vixon with legs that reach all the way from the floor to her, very, well formed behind. We don't need any stinking plastic surgery, we are in love. Oh, and she still tastes sweet when we smooch!

We all have reasons why we're attracted to our partners...We wouldn't be with them otherwise.

amen and if I need to build her the way I build Rc Airplanes, Helicopters, and computers, I might as well build a new BiPlane. But I loved her the way the was and I love her the way she is. Why she puts up with me, who knows and I don't care but I am not gonna leave! She is a gift from God!

I wasn't talking about the Hollywood form of surgery.I live in a town with a few plastic surgeons.

I don't think staying is shape is overrated. I stay in shape to stay healthy. My doctor wants me to. If staying in shape is taken to the extreme then yes, but exercising/eating well for health is generally a good thing.

There's a factor of competition. If you don't change your routine your body won't gain, move faster.Nevermind some want to go far and above .think athletics.it's not necessary but boredom is a issue for me.I hate running the same places.

Some do crossfit, spartan runs.get really into that and you can see my point.you will slow aging alot .how many 50 plus men who are able to to splits, yoga and win cross fit competition?

I know him he used to teach martial arts.yet at some point of being that athletic or any routine of exercise the body will have an issues.joints fail.

I'm not saying one shouldn't exercise but if you want to own a gym you might have be serious at that level.just my observation.I'm In the military. I will post a veterans thing I did.
