Seriously. Jesus has been quite kind to me. I know this sounds like sci-fi or whatever, but my IQ shot up post-electroshock (involuntary), heavy drugging, etc. I take a couple meds, don't do drugs, became a Christian 18 months ago, and now...high(er) IQ. I used to be dull-normal, on a good day.

Not surprisingly, some of my ex-shrinks--who made me stupid--aren't pleased. I've dodged a couple "detention orders" (you're held for "observation," then put into a hospital), because my current doc knows I'm doing better (only possible because of Christ Jesus).

My cousin, he does Christian ministry full time, he tells me that I'm definitely not the first "mental patient" he's seen healed and set free. Its reassuring to know that there are others, out there, who once were lost but now are found.

I'm just tired of how "crazy" people are treated. I was labeled a "low IQ trouble maker," so they tormented me :-( Now, Jesus has stepped in to save me, thank goodness.

Still, its like...nothing has changed since the 50s. You're crazy? OK...why don't we just fry your brain out? At least you'll be dull and manageable! Ugh.

Recovery, like yours, is almost 'accidental' !! (they don't want people to 'recover' -- they want the monthly $$$$$$ to keep coming) ... .. ..

My mother is a director of nursing in a nursing home, and has worked as a DON for several within a 100 Mile radius of middle Indiana. She has also worked in Iowa and Illinois. What you just described is nothing like how nursing homes are run. I've been to several and seen how they operate. The only patients with obscene amounts of pills are prescribed them by doctors and surgeons. Usually because of Organ failure, Pain relief, Diabetes, psychotic episodes, Dementia, Blood pressure problems, heart failure, pneumonia, etc due to old age. However there are plenty of people with very little medication.


There are bad facilities, however there are reasons why you should visit these places before you put anyone in there. The State board of health will take any complaint seriously and be in a facility in no time to address the problems. There are books as thick as law book on the regulations and practices Nurses, CNAs, and other staff have to be aware of and get fired or loose their licenses over.


Learn about the things you complain about. The medical system is not an evil system, but like everything else, evil things happen.

i learned about the medical system from several DONs, nurses, pharmacists, doctors, and therapists. I also started in college in psychology where we had doctors teaching us. I spent years when I was younger hanging around facilities when my mom worked. So I know I know what Im talkimng about. Do evil things happen? yes, like how evil happens every where. Though Im not going to claim an entire system is evil. Ive seen to much good come out of it to call it evil.

The medical system didn't tell them this, the doctor made a mistake, or was malicious, etc. I don't know the specific details. However what the millions saved? What about the Billions throughout history that have had their lives saved or improved? You take mistakes and blame the entire industry. I'm not going to throw the baby out with the bath water.


Where did you work in the medical industry? I'm just curious.

So the person responsible was arrested, yet the entire system is to blame? No, considering the system caught it. Also you are dodging the billions of examples of medicine doing good to blame the entire industry on an a single doctorr or case. Then you throw up the screen that bad things happen everyday. Every single industry ( including churches) have accidents and malicious people working within them. We don't consider everything evil because its stupid. We blame the individuals so actual justice can be carried out. Blaming the entire industry casts away all the good it does. LIke for example all the people with debilitating diseases that are now able to function and fulfill fuller lives due to the medical system. People with mental illnesses that are now functional because treatment has come a long way. Organ transplants, life saving operations, Vaccines, care for the elderly, pre natal care, limb reattachment, eye surgeries that save sight, cancer treatments that have made leeps and bounds just in my short lifetime. I refuse to call all that evil just because some bad people have done some bad things. I've seen to many lives made better to be that shallow.

This is all bull and relies on me having zero medical knowledge. Polio, Measles, etc were huge problems before the vaccines. Life expectancy was shorter around 1900. Cancer treatments are vastly better then they even were 10 years ago. AIDS patients today don't have death sentence. Genetic and allergy based ailments now have medication they didn't have.

Back in 1900 psychology was in its infancy, major surgeries were a major risk. Children died of easily treatable disease, vaccine weren't as easily available. You are misrepresenting how medicine was in the past.


You are mentioning medication, but you aren't talking about illness. Cancer is as old as life itself, mental hospitals used to be a jail for people with no treatment in sight.
You can't bs someone who actually learned about medical history. I don't take big pharma conspiracy nonsense seriously, because no one can give me straight data, just maybes and if you think about it statements based of assumptions.

Amein! I, too, was once a slave of the society and medical system, like my whole family and neighbors and churches I had been in. It was a true miracle of grace, trusting and relying on the Son, that I was set free along with all of His people.
Those who are still slaves of the system, in part or in whole, can be set free also in and by the Son. There really is no other way, no other freedom.
and yes, there is a lot of opposition to the truth. there always has been. that is not something new.
