Cross-dressing

Hi,

I was wondering how you view men who cross-dress. First, what do you know about cross-dressing? I happen to be cross-dresser and while I only dress twice or three times a month, I really enjoy it. I don't do it for shock value and I'm not gay. I have absolutely no interest in men. I find it very artistic, relaxing, fun, expressive and I do enjoy going out to clubs and talking to women when I dress. How do you view cross-dressers (CDs)? Would you befriend one? What if you found out your boyfriend was a CD? What about your son or another family member?
 
I am just curious as to why you joined a Christian forum to ask about cross-dressing? If you are not a Christian, then why would you care about the beliefs and attitudes of Christians towards what you do? Are you looking for acceptance, or trying to start problems or looking for reasons to confirm things you already think?

Cross- dressing is a sin in the Bible.


Deuteronomy 22:5
A woman shall not wear anything that pertains to a man, nor shall a man put on a woman’s garment, for all who do so are an abomination to the LORD your God.
 
I view it as really weird.

In reference to 22:5, I do find women who wear more business-like attire (traditionally thought to be the realm of men) to be attractive. I see them as more mature and I find maturity attractive in a woman.
 
I can understand it with people whose gender identification doesn't match their biological sex... But if a person is not transgendered I don't really understand why they cross dress.
I wouldn't judge based on OT laws because they were given specifically for the Hebrew nation, to be separated from the other nations and their traditions but nothing indicates that other nations were expected to abide by them too so I wouldn't be so fast to say that it's a sin. Do you really always abide by ALL of the Old Testament rules? I doubt that any Christians do, and we aren't expected to since we're not Jews. [I'm not saying that the OT is insignificant for us, but that its law has never been meant for the gentiles].

hi, been married for 17 years and i really need some sane advice, bibical advice. the following is something i find i cannot go to my parents about or to any friends. last year my husband reveiled to me a fetish he has had since he was 12 . i don't like it but he said i had to accept it because we were married. he wears bras and ladies unders and i have found pictures he has taken of himself in my satin nightgowns (ones i got for mybridal shower) he likes to see porn specialy lesbians. he wants me to act out like the porn videos, i dont. we have 3 boys, i am afraid they will find out. we fought about this resently and he said he would stop, but i keep finding evedence he has not, and i don't think he will. i don't have a job and he wont let me get one. i have no money to my name.i dont knw what to do..... help!!!! :o
