Is the dea sea salty because of Lots wife, is this just a myth, I've read about it alot

Many reasons why it is salty. Several reasons why it's salt content is rising. Industrialization is one of them. As they divert more of it's fresh water sources to other areas and continue to drain off what's already there, plus natural evaporation, salt concentrations go up. The Dead Sea is receding...measurably. :o

Ah yes, the Dead Sea. I find this always to be an interesting topic. I believe the Dead Sea is situated in the valley where Sodom and Gomorrah were. The fact that the Dead Sea is the lowest point on the earth says something. Lots wife did turn to a pillar of salt, so what happened to the rest of the cities? Did they turn to salt as well? The LORD rained fire and brimstone on the cities, everything that lived he overthrew.(Gen.19:24) Everything that was alive died, and perhaps thats why it is called the Dead Sea. Especially, since not much else still can live there.

Jesus Bless,
