Debating religious debates...

All religions think that they are correct and have doctrine to justify their claim as the one true way. That is all the proof some people need. No one who is devoted to their religion is going to change beliefs over a debate unless they had inclinations to do so anyway.

So, I would like know why people even debate religion. What do you, as a religion debater, want to achieve through debating?

the fine art of debate is to actually discuss and consider opposing points of view. to reason an argument for/against.

although this can be accomplished, what you usually wind up with is a fight. LOL

alot can be learned on both sides of a debate/argument but not once it becomes a fight. so, I think your question may be best if put...
