Dial Up, DSL, or Cable? Which do you have? I have cable.
 
None of the above. Transmission from a Tower.
 
cable modem which goes to a wireless router, got speeds of 130mp/s. :)
 
I am now using Cricket Broadband, it is a USB modem, just plug it in, click on connect and that's it.
 
Yes, it's fiber optic, but no modem. There is no modulation/demodulation, there's just a router. TCP/IP packets are transmitted straight through.

i forget that i'm learning about that field alot people call a cable modem, but they are actually transcievers
