How did you evolve?

How did you evolve? This is how I evolved.

Re: How did you evolve?

Individuals don't evolve. And you posted that image before.

Did aliens set off the big bang?

Evointrinsic's avatar did it.

Re: Did aliens set off the big bang?

If I saw that thing out somewhere I'd probably shoot it. :D

IDers say that it might be true.

Agreed. This is what separates YEC from ID, and thank you for noticing the difference.

I have also noticed your support for evolution, but when it comes down to it, you support that God is behind whatever details are involved in our existence.

Can anyone on this board boldly claim the details of God's work concerning our existence.

Unless Jesus is a member, I think not. ;)

What is "ID"?

Re: Did aliens set off the big bang?

ID is the notion that the universe was the work of a "designer" rather than a Creator.

Many creationists are attracted to it, because IDers try to put a scientific gloss on their religion. But it seems to be to be an implicity blasphemy to demote God to designer.

ID (Intelligent Design) is a concept that claims intelligence versus random processes is responsible for life (very simple definition). The concept doesn't incorporate a particular "designer". Within this concept designers range from God/ Christ/ Holy Ghost to aliens.

I understand Barbarian's concerns because even adamant atheist types, like Richard Dawkins, think the concept has merit:

However, I say: don't throw the baby out with bathwater.

I don't object to the concept as much as the concept of sheer randomness being responsible for our existence. You could call me an Old Earth Creationist, "old" being completely relative.
