I don't think that is real.. I can't seem to find ANY news articles about it..
 
I haven't heard much about birds, but I do know what has been happening to the honeybees. It's called "Colony Collapse Disorder" and it's not only here in the US. Some orchard farmers in China lost their bee population and had to resort to hand pollinating their trees. :o Not an easy or cheap task and not one future generations will be interested in doing. :shame2

Electromagnetic interferences like HAARP, among other possible causes are being investigated.

Another very interesting aspect of this world problem is that thou many researchers say there is no definite origin where the CCD virus began, there is some info that points to Isreal as those who first identified it. Hmmmm........

A related virus described in 2004 is known as the "Israel acute paralysis virus"; The virus is named after the place where it was first idenitified - its place of origin is unknown. IAPV has been suggested in September 2007 as a marker associated with Colony Collapse Disorder. (Wikipedia)

Birds are acting crazy these days. One came flying stright into my windshield while I was waiting for a green light. I tried to shoo the stunned critter off, but it wouldn't move.

So I turned the wipers on and swept the little critter off the windshield. It landed on a the car next to me at the intersection, also waiting for a green light.

But it was a police car. Oops.

The police car lit up and pulled me over. The officer walked and said....

Wait for it...

"Now I'm gonna have to write you up for flippin' me the bird!"
