death by ash isn't a quick way to die. ever wonder how we know how they died? they were buried as quickly as they died and the ash formed a mold from their bodies. which we pour mortar? in and then it dries and we dig it up and even the eyes in their position of open or closed can be seen, hair as well. Vesuvius is still active and its a super volcano.To remove them from the hell pompay was.
Pompeii would be closest to what occurred in Sodom and gommorah. paul I think went to that city. its not far from rome. it has a twin city. sisternia.(sp).God is bigger then algore ..![]()
there were Christians that died in that. they have found rooms with crosses and ieosus in them. so why would God take them out?
and the topic here is Pompay![]()
uhm, they had the symbol of the fish in rooms as well. a cross wasn't used nor worshipped in the roman empire much. I know the origins of the cross. its from Babylon and rome borrowed it for the use not as worshipping but as a means of torture and then death.i know reba but having a cross doesn't necessarily mean your a Christian..

the fish had the connotation of fishers of men and the name of the lord was in it in greek. ieosus. but there has been no evidence of crosses nor fish in Pompeii. I checked again, couldn't verify what I heard.The sign of the fish didn't necessarily mean you were a Christian, there was a purpose in using the fish sign, do you know what that purpose was?

so if say los angeles had an earth quake and you die in the quake, where you judged?Genesis 13:10
And Lot lifted up his eyes, and beheld all the plain of Jordan, that it was well watered every where, before the LORD destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah, even as the garden of the LORD, like the land of Egypt, as thou comest unto Zoar.
Romans 1:18
For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness;
Lot's town behaved somewhat like the behavior of Pompeii. The good folks were taken from Lot's town before destruction. Legal precident?
I will leave the discussion to y'all.

I leaped out of Genesis 13:10so if say los angeles had an earth quake and you die in the quake, where you judged?
the problem is that in st.Helens a lot of people were affected though they didn't die. an earthquake that damages property and kills some still effects you. what if the job you were working at is now gone and isn't there after the quake? remember the 89 quake in san fran that was caught live during the baseball game and also the bridge that collapsed? were those there judged then if they were saved and died?I leaped out of Genesis 13:10
As much as possible I try to be carnally brain dead. LOL.
I reckon Moses knew about judgement and destruction.

yes but that didn't address the question. was it a judgment if you died in the earthquake?a natural disaster that kills a lot may not be from god, just allowed by him to occur.Isaiah 1:18
Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.
