Did God Destroy Pompeii?

I guess I am not looking at death the same s you are. I will spend a lot of time discussing redemption.

God allowed his son Jesus to die. I understand allowed, but I also understand the wrath of God. Complex thoughts and seeming contradictions do not throw me into shock. I see through a glass darkly. Eternity will sure allow time for discussion. Right now the Great Commission keeps me busy.

Job had ten children that died. When Job received double for his loss (lost say 2000 whatever - he got back 4000 whatevers)
But people (especially prayed for under sacrifice people are different). Job only got back 10 children. For Job to have 20 children (double his original 10), he had to still have his original 10 children (spiritually secure somewhere).

So saved folks lost in an earthquake / volcano / whatever are not evaporated into nothingness. Earlier scripture shows Noah and his family saved, Lot and part of his family delivered from destruction. I try not to speculate without a scripture base. Jobs children are the closest example I can find. Beyond scriptural examples I will not speculate (I hope). Though those who read about kidneys, liver etc., (when I post) think I do speculate. Romans 1:19-20 ,IMHO, allows that.

the children of God cant be subjected to his wrath. if I were to take that to the final judgement which might have some natural disasters to it. if a Christian died in that was he judged?if yes then you cant say that he was saved. he wasn't but if it isn't the "end" then its not really a judgement, just a natural disaster.
