Did Iraq attack us...?

I believe the correct and obvious answer would be "no." Can we anticipate your next question, which might be "then why did we attack Iraq?" I believe the answer to that question is 'George W hates guys with mustaches, they remind him of his mom.'

Well, now I'm on the Homeland Security list.

Yes, they broke into the US embassy in Kuwait prior to the Gulf War, which is considered US soil.

We attacked them, before they ivnaded the kuwait office, because we helped throw a coup, and put the baaths in power.

Also, we told iraq that we would not do anythign if they invaded kuwait.

No, we told Iraq that we would not get involved with their oil and debt disputed with Kuwait.

No, the secretary ambassador lady said that the US would not interfere with iraqs plans to unify iraq.

That included kuwait.

Were America's post-September 11th fears about terrorism exploited, and/or manipulated to such a degree that the majority of it's citizens would not question the invasion of a nation largely considered to have neither attacked the United States, nor threatened to do so?

Based upon the concept and idea of democracy, is it unusual for a democratic nation, or nations, to implement democracy in another sovereign nation as the result of 'force', or by military means?

Does the idea, or act of 'forcing' democracy upon another honor the ideals and traditions of democracy itself?

Has democracy come about in Iraq as a result of, or via the means of 'force'?

I don't think there can be much doubt Iraq was an oppresive dictatorship under Saddam. Add to that the fact Al_Queda was seeking an allinace with Saddam, and I think the administration (just barely) made it's case for invading.

And now that we how the war has played out, I also think part of the strategy was to turn Iraq into a lightening rod for terrorists. Bring them out into the open and fight them in a foreign land, rather than have sneak about here on on our soil.

Plus, the war in Iraq has taken some of the terrorist pressure off of Israel.
