Did you know Muslims Also Believe Jesus Will Return

Did you know that Muslims also believe that Jesus Will Return? I did not… But, in fact, this is obviously stated in Quran. I think this is amazing.. I read it here, in the book Jesus Will Return http://www.harunyahya.com

Another thing is, we have so many in common... There is a invitation from Muslims to Christian and Jews in the site, it is really meaningful, it is in the "articles" part.

Did you know that there are several fundamental differences between the second coming of Jesus in Christianity and in Islam?

In Christianity, we believe it is the second coming FROM HEAVEN! Jesus came from heaven the first time... He will come from heaven again.

Read John 6:38, John 6:61-62 and John 16:28. Those verses will help you understand the difference.

By the way (I realise you are really a Muslim!), how will you tell that it is Jesus who has returned? The Quran (as usual) is silent about the HOW and what you will SEE.

Some Muslims believe that they will know it is Jesus because He will have a bone missing in one fingers! How silly....

Maybe you (as a Muslim) have some other myth you would like to explain to us as to how you will know that it is Jesus.

If you want to understand the difference, again READ the Bible. Read what Jesus Himself said in Matthew 24:29-31.

See the difference now?

If you are still unsure, again read the Bible, this time Rev 1:7.

How did you locate that site, bad luck or what? I just viewed the home page and they had a picture of Immanuel Kant who supposedly said the universe had no beginning or and no end with the final comment of how wrong he was. Now let me ask this using the theist approach to logic. If the idea of a universe not having a beginning is ludicrous even though I have physical evidence of its existance then how ludicrous is it to claim that a God which has no evidence of existance always was?

Gary: I would like to challenge you..... please show me the surah/verse where the Quran "obviously" states that Jesus will return.

This should be fun!!!!

to state just a thing is blasphamy and according to shria law you can be punished by death.

Qur'an:

[112:1] Proclaim, "He is the One and only GOD. "The Absolute GOD. "Never did He beget. Nor was He begotten.

[19:88-95] They said, "The Most Gracious has begotten a son"! You have uttered a gross blasphemy. The heavens are about to shatter, the earth is about to tear asunder, and the mountains are about to crumble. Because they claim that the Most Gracious has begotten a son. It is not befitting the Most Gracious that He should beget a son.Every single one in the heavens and the earth is a servant of the Most Gracious. He has encompassed them, and has counted them one by one.All of them will come before Him on the Day of Resurrection as individuals.

This denighs the resurection or death of Jesus

That they said (in boast), "We killed Christ Jesus the son of Mary, the Apostle of God";- but they killed him not, nor crucified him, but so it was made to appear to them, and those who differ therein are full of doubts, with no (certain) knowledge, but only conjecture to follow, for of a surety they killed him not. (Quran 4:157)

Finally, Jesus is presented as a forerunner of Muhammad, just as John the Baptist was the forerunner of Jesus: “And remember, Jesus, the son of Mary, said: "O Children of Israel! I am the apostle of God (sent) to you, confirming the Law (which came) before me, and giving Glad Tidings of an Apostle to come after me, whose name shall be Ahmad" (Quran 61:6).4

If Islam is correct in saying that Jesus is purely human, then he respected indeed. But from a Biblical perspective, which presents Jesus as God incarnate, who sacrificed Himself for our sins, the Quranic teaching is not only disrespectful but utterly blasphemous.

Yes, I did know that the Quran teaches that Jesus will come again. It also teaches that Jesus was born of a virgin, that Jesus ascended into heaven, that Jesus performed miracles and raised people from the dead.

It also teaches that Christians who are faithful to Jesus - will be saved.

Islam is not an evil religion. I agree, they don't have an accurate image of Jesus, but whose fault is that???

Consider how it may look to an outsider, walk a mile in someone else's shoes:

1. There is a God, one righteous God, and God is merciful but commands us to live from the inside-out instead of the outside-in. It is about dethroning the self that becomes its own god.
2. Humanity fell, we blew it. We don't listen directly to God, so God gives us mediators of God's wisdom to challenge us to return to what real life is. Such a person is a 'prophet' and such a person could be anyone who was open to God.
3. Moses, Jesus, and finally Muhammed were all such prophets. All called people to return to God. Muhammed came because the 'Christians' stopped listening to Jesus.
4. The so-called Christian west has become decadent. We prove their hypothesis. We are self-centred and demonised. Thus, it is the Muslims who now follow God.

Now, I realise that the re-imaging of Jesus as God changes everything. But when we don't take our own doctrine serious enough, that Jesus is God, what else do we expect from people who want to follow God???

The wrong image of Islam

paxigoth7: Yes, I did know that the Quran teaches that Jesus will come again.

Gary: Have you actually read that in the Quran? If so, I would be very interested to know the Sura/verse where that is recorded. Please supply them.

paxigoth7: It also teaches that Jesus was born of a virgin, that Jesus ascended into heaven, that Jesus performed miracles and raised people from the dead.

Gary: Which Sura/verse in the Quran teaches that Jesus raised people from the dead?

paxigoth7: It also teaches that Christians who are faithful to Jesus - will be saved.

Gary: I have studied the Quran and Islam for 4 years. I have not seen this in the Quran. If you have, please quote the Sura/verse. Thanks.

paxigoth7: Islam is not an evil religion.

Gary: Have you ever studied the Quran, the Hadith and Islam?
Why not start by looking at the concept of Jihad. After doing that, I would like you to re-examine your statement that "Islam is not an evil religion."

Jihad: http://geocities.com/gary_bee_za/jihad/

Have you ever studied the life of Muhammad? Why not start here:

Honestly study the Quran and the Hadith. Then tell me which is the true picture of Islam.
