I can't post in the Christianity and Science Forum so I it here.

There was no death when God created the earth and it appears that the Lizards that were the origin of what we have today lived until the Noahdic Flood. Lizards, to this day, grow until the day they die. The Dinosaurs have gone nowhere, they just do not live so long now.

Good call Bill.. just think living to be 2 or 3 hundred years old they probably grew to an incredible size as well.. :yes

tob

*edit: forgot something "again" this is an excellent read i spoke to the author many some years ago..

When I cleared my home land I cut down every Cotton Wood on the place, over 30, bucked them and stacked until they rotted into the ground, fertilizer. We have a 4" brown Salamander here in East Texas with two long black stripes that are great Bass Bait that never grows over 4" in length. That stack of 24" logs lay there for five years before I used the shovel to mash them into dust to spread.

As I stacked them I saw one of these little guys crawl under the stack. As I smashed the stack a 12 to 13 inch version streaked from the pile and my wife and I were astonished at his/her size. The little guy had the perfect place to grow and he did. That began my dig into the matter resulting in my conclusion.

We have discovered the same thing. We have tiger salamanders. We would only see small ones about 4-6". But this year we saw a couple in our little manmade pond in our yard, it is 4ft. deep.
We have two. In the spring they were about 4 and 5 inches long. We saw them yesterday and they are now much bigger than we have ever seen. One is about 8" long and about the size of a half dollar around, the other is a good 11" and 21/2" in diameter. My dh grew up here and he was really surprised at how big they can get.
Hope they make it through the winter.

I said Cottonwood but I think I misspoke. Cottonwood is a good hardwood. The nastys I dropped were Sweet Gum, soft and worthless around the yard and fall apart quickly. I correct that because it is a huge clue to why our brown and black buddy lived so long. In the first year Sweet Gum begins to rot and snowed our friend in with the decayed wood until each spring. I hope yours make a couple of years but take photos, nobody will believe you.

thats so cool Ive never thought of that,I love dinosaurs too well anything that reminds me of history.I think my next pet may have to be a lizard .

My favorite dino is the Iguana but he is an adult pet and will not remain in a tank but they do well in hte house as long as you remember they are never tame. Of course you might want to consider that a man that rescued a full blooded Tundra Wolf that slept top of the floor grate for the AC is giving you this advise. But then, nobody threatened my wife for almost 16 years, they were terrified. Sugar Bear really loved my Deeter.

Here are some examples of scripture speaking about dinosaurs and dragons.

Job 40:15-18, 23 behold now behemoth, which I made with thee; he eateth grass as an ox. Lo now, his strength is in his loins, and his force is in the navel of his belly. He moveth his tail like a cedar: the sinews of his stones are wrapped together. His bones are as strong pieces of brass; his bones are like bars of iron. Behold, he drinketh up a river, and hasteth not: he trusteth that he can draw up Jordan into his mouth.

Job 41 Canst thou draw out leviathan with an hook? or his tongue with a cord which thou lettest down? None is so fierce that dare stir him up: who then is able to stand before me?... I will not conceal his parts, nor his power, nor his comely proportion.... Who can open the doors of his face? his teeth are terrible round about. His scales are his pride, shut up together as with a close seal. One is so near to another, that no air can come between them. They are joined one to another, they stick together, that they cannot be sundered.... Out of his mouth go burning lamps, and sparks of fire leap out. Out of his nostrils goeth smoke, as out of a seething pot or caldron. His breath kindleth coals, and a flame goeth out of his mouth. In his neck remaineth strength, and sorrow is turned into joy before him. The flakes of his flesh are joined together: they are firm in themselves; they cannot be moved. His heart is as firm as a stone; yea, as hard as a piece of the nether millstone. When he raiseth up himself, the mighty are afraid: by reason of breakings they purify themselves. The sword of him that layeth at him cannot hold: the spear, the dart, nor the habergeon. He esteemeth iron as straw, and brass as rotten wood. The arrow cannot make him flee: slingstones are turned with him into stubble. Darts are counted as stubble: he laugheth at the shaking of a spear. Sharp stones are under him: he spreadeth sharp pointed things upon the mire. He maketh the deep to boil like a pot: he maketh the sea like a pot of ointment. He maketh a path to shine after him; one would think the deep to be hoary. Upon earth there is not his like, who is made without fear. He beholdeth all high things: he is a king over all the children of pride.

(also see: Psa 74:14, Psa 104:26, Isa 27:1)

The Bible also talks about dragons. I believe that these were dinosaurs:

Isa 27:1 In that day the LORD with his sore and great and strong sword shall punish leviathan the piercing serpent, even leviathan that crooked serpent; and he shall slay the dragon that is in the sea.

Isa 51:9 Awake, awake, put on strength, O arm of the LORD; awake, as in the ancient days, in the generations of old. Art thou not it that hath cut Rahab, and wounded the dragon?

Deu 32:33 Their wine is the poison of dragons, and the cruel venom of asps.

Job 30:29 I am a brother to dragons, and a companion to owls.

Psa 44:19 Though thou hast sore broken us in the place of dragons, and covered us with the shadow of death.

Psa 74:13 Thou didst divide the sea by thy strength: thou brakest the heads of the dragons in the waters. (and Psa 148:7)

Isa 34:13 And thorns shall come up in her palaces, nettles and brambles in the fortresses thereof: and it shall be an habitation of dragons, and a court for owls.

Isa 35:7 And the parched ground shall become a pool, and the thirsty land springs of water: in the habitation of dragons, where each lay, shall be grass with reeds and rushes.

Isa 43:20 The beast of the field shall honour me, the dragons and the owls: because I give waters in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert, to give drink to my people, my chosen.

Jer 9:11 And I will make Jerusalem heaps, and a den of dragons; and I will make the cities of Judah desolate, without an inhabitant.

Jer 10:22 Behold, the noise of the bruit is come, and a great commotion out of the north country, to make the cities of Judah desolate, and a den of dragons. (and Jer 14:6)

Jer 49:33 And Hazor shall be a dwelling for dragons, and a desolation for ever: there shall no man abide there, nor any son of man dwell in it. (and Jer 51:37)

Micah 1:8 Therefore I will wail and howl, I will go stripped and naked: I will make a wailing like the dragons, and mourning as the owls.

Mal 1:3 And I hated Esau, and laid his mountains and his heritage waste for the dragons of the wilderness.

Here's proof that dinosaurs still exist, at least in Japan.

View attachment 4955 This is my sons pet lizard. It is a Texas spined (or spiny) lizard. He caught this one inside my grand parents house last November, then caught another one earlier this year. They have both grown very fast so far. From what I have read they are native to Texas, Colorado, New Mexico and Arizona. I saw one in Colorado this summer at Garden Of The Gods, it was the only reptile I saw the whole time we were there.

He named the first one he caught "Lightning" because it was so fast, then the next one he caught he named "Thunder".

When I was growing up SE Texas was filthy with Horned Toad Lizards but civilization increasing has run them off. If my wife and my daughter would not kill me I would have two long twenty gallon tanks, one with a Horny Toad (childhood name) and one with a pair of Mexican Red-legged Tarantulas. Every house I lived in as a spike was 16 to 24 inches off the ground and was a treasure trove of Wolf Spiders and often there were Horny Toads there.

Ahhhh! There Summer days of childhood and these nutty kids today play with electronic devises and learn, not much, about the world they live in, sad.

Dinosaurs do not exist today. What happened to them?

I have heard that there used to be horny toads every where. I still to this day have never seen one in person. I live in the Dallas area, the lizard in this pic came from Granbury.

Yup! I used to play with them here and at the Farm in Somerville and that's the little rascal, right there! Their horns and blood out of the eyes are their only defense. Before the South American Fire Ants murdered all the Giant Texas Fire Ants, this little guy used to stir them up and pig out. I'm told they are disappearing but they are still in the south Texas Mesa and Desert but I can't drive or ride any more so I don't know that's true.

Cute little bugger, huh, Kati... 'specially when they bleed out the eye sockets!
