Two different SEEDS were planted in the beginning.
One kind of seed (the wheat) was planted by the Son of man, the other seed (the tares), by the enemy-the wicked one. And as we read on in Matthew 13 verses 24 through 30, we see that Jesus is showing His disciples, through this parable, that both seeds are to be allowed to grow to full fruition until the harvest. It is only then that the true characteristics of both seeds are sufficiently manifested to where they are more easily discerned, separated and dealt with accordingly.
This is the very thing that has been so lacking in the denominational church world...DISCERNMENT.
And the thing that has so hindered individuals from exercising discernment is a false idea and a fear of "judging others".
This whole idea of shying away from being in a place or position of Judgment has been so misunderstood that it has led to an whole-sale acceptance of anything, everything, and anyone coming into the Temple of God and claiming authenticity.
We certainly don't see this in the old Testament or in the ministry of Jesus Christ.
In Ezra 3: 1-3 we see the "adversaries" of God's people coming into the midst of the building of the temple and offering their help, but the leaders of this work discerned readily that these imposter's had no part in this effort. They were discerned and rejected.
Again in Ezekiel 44:5 the Lord says to His watchmen, "Son of man, mark well, and behold with thine eyes, and hear with thine ears all that I say unto thee concerning all the ordinances of the house of the Lord, and all the laws thereof; and mark well the entering in of the house, and every going forth of the sanctuary."
Now isn't it strange how God has gone from laying such an important emphasis on the idea of "us and them", and brought such rebuke upon Israel for "mixing the holy with the profane" and for "mingling the holy seed with the people of the lands", to now allowing a mixture of anything and everything!?
Going from such an emphasis on SEPARATION and recognizing our distinct identity as God's people to letting down the guard and throwing out Judgment and Discernment altogether!
Of course it is not God who changed, but it is the pressures and sympathies of carnality that have deceived the vast majority.
But, praise God, we see in Malachi 3:16-18 a "returning of the Elect" (the True Tithe), a maturing harvest of the true seed, which brings with it a DISCERNMENT...discerning even between the Righteous and the wicked, between those who serve God and those who don't.
In this "returning", the Elect come to that place of KNOWING who they are, even as Jesus knew Who He was. They have made their "calling and election sure". They have labored through. They have been dealt with by God in a special way. They have been "brought out to be brought in" and have gone through the processes of the Cross.
Once again, as Jesus was the Pattern of this intimate relationship with God, knowing Who He was and being confident that He had "inside information", He went forth unerringly manifesting the Kingdom of God. Even so must we, as the "seed" that He planted...let the Spirit of God bring out and confirm to us "every good thing that is in us in Christ Jesus" (Philemon 6).
THIS is the foundation which Jesus spoke of in Matthew 16:18, when He spoke to Peter and said "upon THIS ROCK will I build My Church".
It was the ROCK of Revelation...the Revelation of an intimate, privileged relationship with God. The Foundation of "us knowing Him and Him knowing us".
The foundation of God standeth sure, having THIS SEAL..."the Lord KNOWS them that are His". And to them ONLY are the secrets of His Kingdom made known! Halleluia!
Getting back to Matthew 13, we see in verses 37 through 43 the interpretation of the parable of the wheat and the tares.
Now Jesus spells it out clearly and literally. There were two different seeds; one sown by God, the other by the devil. The good seed are the children of the Kingdom, the tares are the children of the wicked one.
Now understand clearly, the one cannot become the other. There are the "seed of God" which came from the very bosom of God even as Jesus-Himself came from God. And there are those who were never in the heart of God to begin with, but were brought down through the lineage of Cain as a wild seed of rebellion and murder; the very nature of Satan having been spawned into the human race through the serpent in the garden of Eden.
If this isn't true, my fellow Christian, then where did the TWO DIFFERENT SEEDS originate from? And if this isn't true then this parable in Matthew 13 is only an hypothetical myth, or an empty symbolism of no consequence.
Quite simply, besides God's SEED, the "incorruptible seed", which is Jesus Christ, the Word, and us who were IN HIM before the foundation of the world, there is only one other place where a specific SEED is mentioned. It is what the Scriptures call "the serpents seed" in Genesis 3:15.
God, speaking to the serpent, said that He would put enmity between "thy seed and her seed". This seed, of course, is the "seed of the wicked one".
A man was born of this physical seed; his name was Cain and he inherited the nature of his father...jealousy and murder.
In the light of these Truths, many other areas of controversy and confusion are quickly dissolved. For instance, the idea that Jesus died for EVERYONE and therefore anyone can be saved. "Whosoever wills may come" they say.
Well, already we should see that this is in conflict with Jesus' teaching in Matthew 13.
Even John 3:16 is clarified in the light of Prophetic Truth. You see, Jesus "so loved the world"...He so loved the FIELD (Matthew 13:44), that He "selleth all that He hath, and bought that field"...BECAUSE there was a "treasure" hidden in that field, the treasure of His SEED...the treasure of His Predestinated people!
Furthermore, we see the "whosoever will" coming into the Gospel net in verses 47 to 50 of Matthew 13.
Into the net was gathered of EVERY KIND, and then the good were gathered into vessels and the bad were cast away. So let us remember "it is not of him who runs, nor of him who wills, but of God that showeth mercy". (Romans 9:16)
We hope that this prophetic unfolding of the Scriptures helps in your understanding of God's ways, His dealings and His purposes, as He continues to establish His Kingdom upon the Earth and His Rulership through our lives.
As the Scriptures declare, we shall one day (Yes ONE DAY--a thousand years) rule and reign with Him upon the Earth, judging nations, judging angels and the ungodly!!
Allow God to prepare you as His weapons of Spiritual warfare and Vessels of Eternal Glory.
Surely He shall have a people in whom He shall secure an Eternal Resting Place.
We hope that this message has blessed you.
God bless.
