I know you’re there
But I push you away
I sin and run from you
Your holy book sits in my hand
But I set it back down
I try to live without you
I run awkwardly
And stumble to the ground
I look up
Blinded by the light
I stop and pray
This is not where I want to stay
I want to be your child
I want to live a life
That honors you
Someone calls my name
I run from you
Put it off longer
Just to live for myself
Instead of you
I lose my focus
I need you
I will always need you
Clear my thoughts, God
Take my life
My heart
My mind
And my soul
