Bible Study do all babies go to heaven?

You guys crack me up... Please. My kid just turned 6 and this is the first year that 'God' is actually clicking with him and the cog wheels are turning with this whole God, Jesus thing in his mind.
Now, if I persuaded him to be baptized, he'd do it... But for the wrong reasons, hence his baptism would be in vain. Do you guys believe in infant baptism? :-?
No, I'm afraid that he's not at the age of accountability yet. Yes, he can make right and wrong decisions, but he is greatly influenced by me. That makes me accountable as I am his teacher as is my wife. As His teacher, I will be held accountable, not him until the day that he receives the gift of the Holy spirit as his counselor.

Children are innocent.

Jonah 4:10-11
But the LORD said, "..But Nineveh has more than a hundred and twenty thousand people who cannot tell their right hand from their left...Should I not be concerned about that great city?

1 Corinthians 14:20
Brothers, stop thinking like children. In regard to evil be infants, but in your thinking be adults.

Romans 7:9-11
Once I was alive apart from law; but when the commandment came, sin sprang to life and I died. I found that the very commandment that was intended to bring life actually brought death. For sin, seizing the opportunity afforded by the commandment, deceived me, and through the commandment put me to death.

Isaiah 7:15-16 (prophecy concerning Jesus)
He will eat curds and honey when he knows enough to reject the wrong and choose the right. But before the boy knows to reject the wrong and choose the right...

Deuteronomy 1:39
And the little ones that you said would be taken captive, your children who do not know yet good from bad--they will enter the land.

Mark 10:14-16
...[Jesus] said, "Let the little children come to Me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these. I tell you the truth, anyone who will not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it."

All people are born with a depraved or sinful disposition. When people are born into the world, they are born of the flesh ( John3:6) and they are subject to the characteristics of the flesh. They are directed by the mind of the flesh, which is enmity against God and is not subject to the Law of God ( Romans 8:7). The individual is depraved at birth and he soon becomes guilty of sin, even before he becomes aware of rightness and wrongness.
Depravity and guilt renders one unfit for heaven. Jesus said that everyone who is born of the flesh and that includes all those who die in infancy must be born again, or he will not see the kingdom of God
( John 3:3). Moreover, when John was given the vison of the heavenly city, he observed that nothing unclean and no one morally corrupt will be found in it (Rev. 21:27). Therefore no one will be there who has not had an experience, like regeneration, by which the inborn depravity is counteracted.

There are those who have denied that all people are born depraved. But the bible says that they are estranged from birth (Psalms 58:3) The wicked are estranged from the womb: They go astray as soon as they are born, speaking lies

Did you read my post? It gave proof that children are innocent from the Scriptures.

Do infants talk? They can't possibly lie if they can't talk, can they?

Diem,
Yes I read your post. Many Christians usually try to uphold what you are saying by using the references you sited. They say that if children are naturally among those to whom a place in the kingdom of God belongs, the ones who die while this is true will be taken to heaven as a matter of right. In Matthew 19:14 But Jesus said, Suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven.
But when Jesus said, "To such belongeth the kingdom...." the pronoun ,"such" does not refer to children as children, but to those coming to him, whether they be children or youths or adults. Everyone who receives a place in the kingdom, must reveice it as a child receives it: that is, by coming to Jesus (Mark 10:15) Verily I say unto you, Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child, he shall not enter therein.

'I'm also amazed that many people follow this line of reasoning: God is merciful, therefore his mercy on innocent little babies overrides his desire for justice. Is that true? I doubt it."

If you believe that you are saved by grace, that it is all of God, then why would you hold a child that doesn't even know how to rebel against God to a higher standard than yourself?

The problem is that people that believe in a works based salvation will never be able to comprehend Grace. This is why we have the false doctrine of infant baptism today.

But if nether parent is saved then the children are going to hell with the parents.

The Bible tells us that we are never judged by the sins of others.

GRACE.

God is a just God and this alone should answer ur question. Will God send someone to the torments of hell that does not understand hell or that does not understand that they can be lost and go to hell or be saved and go to heaven? There is what is refered to as the age of accountability. It is an understanding rather than an age. Some never reach that age or understanding and some reach it sooner than others. There will be no babies in hell but there will be some very young people in hell.
