Do animals go to Heaven?

Animals sense things we humans can't, my brother-in-law has a dog that will start barking before he see someone, in every case those people are afraid of him.

My cat is waiting for me at the door when I come home, I've made certain not to make any noise, but she is always there, when I'm sick or recovering from an operation she comes to bed with me and nudges me with her head and will often lay down and sleep beside me when it's serious, when I've had to spend the night at the hospital my wife says she is very restless, in the morning when it's time to leave for work she will walk in front of me and lay on her back inviting me to stay and scratch her tummy.

Animals manifest devotion that is comparable if not more than human love, God is love and love is eternal, ...I personally don't think it's in His character to keep shared love separated, ...human or animal.
My cat used to come up and try to make me feel better when I was crying. (I was a kid at the time, I cried a lot.) She'd come up purring and offer herself to be petted. She'd stay until I felt better, than she would get up and leave.

The GSD was very protective of us. But she would also listen to us, too. Used to growl at anyone who hugged one of us, all we had to do was tell her it was okay and she'd back off.
Also was rather dog-aggressive and would bark at people who walked too close to me in public. I was able to improve these behaviors somewhat. I think it helped that she genuinely wanted to please me.

Not all dogs or cats seem to be as close with their owners, though. The ones I have today seem a bit more detached by comparison. Not that they don't care about me at all or anything. Like I said, different personalities. GSDs are pretty well known to be very bonded to their owners, or so I've read. And that would match my experience with GSDs in general.

And the Lord God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him. Genesis 2:18 KJV

Before God made Eve, God made the nephesh animals to keep man company. It makes sense that they would be endowed with personalities that can positively interact with people.

Dogs certainly do seem to form an emotional attachment with their owners.

Definitely, though that is part of how they work. They are very social animals, and this makes sense if you take into account that they are descended from wolves, which live in a pack. (That said, when domesticated dogs don't have a home and roam the streets, they don't seem to form packs. But I could be wrong.) So living in a family and having a role in it comes naturally to them.

you haven't been around a wolf. or a mixed wolf. my huskey is very pack like. though not as bad as her wolf family she still does it. I ran into a grey wolf like dog. the owner lied and told me it was a german shepherd. uhm I know the difference. a gsd doesn't have one eye blue and brown a huskey and wolf will have that problem. they aslo don't have the bushy tail, short ears and snout and also teeth that are more sharper. my dog has that in her. ferel dogs will run in packs. I have seen that in Afghanistan. sure as pups they were easily tamed and wanted human attention but without they weren't very social and acted like wolves.

We call them 'timber shepherds' around here. Some people tried to say their wolves/wolf blends were 'mixed breeds' but the vets are too aware of them.

I formed deep bonds with my pets growing up and I can only hope I'd see them again one day.
Two deepest bonds would probably have been the cat I had at age 11, and the German Shepherd that passed away the year I turned 18. That dog was my shadow. And the cat...you know how cats are, but she was attached to me in her own way. Once I left for two weeks and I'm told she spent the entire time in the window sill crying.

My current pets keep to themselves a bit more (they can't all have the same personality), but I'd want to see them again one day as well.
My favorites were two half domestic, half Bobcat that were stolen from the den when still blind. Neither had Bob markings. Snowball was white except for his nose and eyes, Tigger was Mottled Brown with black, thin, stripes. Tigger, pronounced like the cartoon cat with the (ig) sound was female and my Snowball that would never had hidden in Texas was all boy

Tigger slept curled around my head and my buddy on my feet. Tigger never played rough with me but with Snowball, Welder's Gloves were always required, he never lost any of his wild, even after he was fixed. They both weighed over twenty five pounds and they were... CATS!

Wolves are very special and you must become their pack. My only wolf guarded my wife with her life, great animal and scared most folks to death, LOL.

I know, I have one that has a lot of wolf in her, she just doesn't have the aggression side.

I have encountered a number of full bred in the wild and never had one bad incident, that is movie and novel junk. My encounters with the half breeds has not been good. I'm glad you have a sweetheart.

Recently on Nat Geo they did a documentary that illustrated a story I had heard from couple of sources about a native lady that had either five or six wolf dogs that eventually killed her as she was, I believe, feeding them. I just have trouble trusting the half breeds.

legally, you cant own a wolf in my state. my homeowner insurance would go sky high if they saw a wolf in my yard. they do send people out to take pics. I sent them one of my dog, to save them the bother and they said ok. she isn't on our trouble list. we do have wolf-german shepherd mix. I cant post the vidoes of them playing etc. but they look like a wolf, with some shepherd and howl.
