Sikhism developed in the 15th century, to use the Christian dating system, and as I understand developed from Hinduism, rejecting the cast system and the multitude of gods.
There are similarities, a believe in One Spirit God, but also dissimilarities in that Christians believe that the Son of God became a human, was crucified and resurrected.
