Do women wear make up to look hotter for the guys?

Do women wear make up to look hotter for the guys? I think most women look better without make up. I like the natural beauty in a woman. :yes

Re: Do women wear make up to look hotter for the guys?

Some do. Some wear it because they don't like their features. I usually wear it to cover a blemish or if I'm going to something special, like a wedding.

Re: Do women wear make up to look hotter for the guys?

Personally do not wear the stuff often myself. Find it a bit demeaning or degrading actually unless it is put on lightly to where it looks natural. No woman really should feel that make up is a means to make herself look presentable, let alone attractive to a man. Just as a man surely should not feel he should have to be pumped up on steroids or built nicely in terms of muscle tone to be found appealing. The inside is what truly matters. The heart in itself carries much more worth. Only a shame that the media tends to promote messages that indicate otherwise.

I have been fasting from make-up. I am fasting from makeup for 40 days. I haven't gone more than a few days without it since the sixth grade. I know God wanted to show me that my make-up is not the valuable thing about me, but I must confess it has been very difficult for me. I feel like I am very ugly without it, I am embarrassed and feel ashamed. I wish I had your wonderful attitude lost lamb. I would appreicate prayer, because God is working on my "self" esteem, that needs to turn into "Jesusteem"

but to answer your question Mr. Slayer... I wear make-up because I feel ugly without it. I know that is soooo wrong, because God worked hard to make me, and it's rude to say I don't like the job He did (murmuring) I am hoping at the end of this I have a godly, healthy (for lack of a better word) "self" Image, like Lostlamb does.

Love, Kelli

Kelli,

Self esteem is an issue a number of us face on different levels. Though I do not wear make up, it is a constant issue for me in regards of the way my body looks. For no matter the number on the scale...I am always refering to myself as fat or ugly. Not to mention, I have two younger sisters who are fairly close to me in terms of age that just seem to be magnets to young men their age.

Something each of us, be we male or female, could use as a reminder is that God made us in His own divine image. So we each are truly beautiful in our own way. So the next time you find yourself looking in the mirror and feeling a bit unhappy with the way you look just rememeber that you are wonderfully made.

May God Bless You

Danielle

Do girls wear make up to look prettier? I know many girls who looks pretty without make up, so why do they insist on wearing it? Not saying make-up makes girls look ugly, but what ever happened to natural beauty?

No make-up can never match or and stand up to Natural beauty. It is more of God’s beautiful creation like flowers in a field. Why would anybody want to cover up what God in all his wisdom has made.

I wear make up to ENHANCE my beauty not cover it up. But too much makeup and false eye lashes etc just pushes on the vain side to me. I get so upset when I see little beauty pageant girls looking like this:

Ah yes, I do sometimes have grammar that's not very good. Sometimes I catch it, sometimes I don't. :D

But you look pretty with your make up, you don't overdo it like many girls do.

Perhaps you can start small by using just tinted moisturizer, colorless mascara and a rosy colored balm on lips/eyes? That way you feel as though you 're wearing something. Then slowly take away a product every week. :shrug
