It seems like the Lord is trying to teach me not to be afraid. When we are doing the Lord’s will, what is there to fear? Too often I become afraid and use that as an excuse to do things I shouldn’t do.

Big fears usually come from big imaginations. Big "what ifs". Most worst case scenarios don't involve a God who loves us. But He is there, and will be whether you fail or succeed.

Fear is a liar.

Also, don't confuse being afraid with feeling anxious and restless from wanting to see the Lord.

If you do things that you shouldn't do, then you are not in the Lord's Will. me personally i would be afraid of reaping what you have sown. whatever it is that you knowingly and willingly shouldn't do and do it anyway, you will have to reap from that wrong, (eventually). i fear Him who is able to destroy me, i fear Him and His punishments for me, for He punishes (chastises) those that He loves as it is written. There are over 120 verses which say to fear God. It is my fear of God that keeps me on the straight and narrow, i know with no doubts whatsoever that His Word is True and it is written:

Romans2:9 Tribulation and anguish, upon every soul of man that doeth evil, of the Jew first, and also of the Gentile; 10 But glory, honour, and peace, to every man that worketh good, to the Jew first, and also to the Gentile: 11For there is no respect of persons with God.

So i know, with no doubts whatsoever, that if i knowingly and willingly do something which i know is sinful, yet do it anyway, then i am putting tribulation and anguish upon my own self, because i am doing evil, and the Word of God does not lie, it is the Truth, and will happen exactly as it says it will. Even if i Truly repent of that sin, that is to say i cease to ever do it again, and He has forgiven me, this does not negate the Word of God, i still will reap what i have sown, i will still pay the consequences of my actions. i can rob a bank, feel real sorry for doing so, repent to God for it, but still pay the consequences of my action by going to jail. Every sin i do, i will pay the consequences of, if not now, then in the future, or when tribulations starts. Nobody can escape reaping what you have sown.

It is the fear of God, and reaping what you sow, that keeps me walking the straight and narrow and difficult path, that only a few will find, and i mean VERY few will find that path or be willing to take it.

Hope this helped in some way.:praying
