It must be someone with a very active imagination. It takes quite a bit of imagination to come up with something like Jello pie.

I've never had it, but I think haggis would probably be pretty good compared to some of that stuff.

When I was young I did the Spam and Lima beans. Today I eat a good bit of heat and serve Spam and Sausage Jambalaya. When a body is seven and has a five year and a three year old sisters, a can of Limas and a can of Spam works just fine.

I hated Spam even as a kid when we, like so many others, ate it because it was pretty cheap. Imagine my delight, while visiting my daughter after she moved to Hawai'i, in finding that it's a favorite sandwich there. Even served in McDonalds!

Mike, Mickey D's!!! My sisters and I ate it because I could cook it, imagine me and the first dish of Spam and Sausage Jambalaya... but with enough Cayenne, you know, most anything is good. But then I was known to hang to close to Cajuns and Mexicans as I grew.

It aint cheap anymore but we used to get a bologna log for the grill when we wanted to grill something and couldnt afford anything else. Now bologna is about as expensive as steak!

When I was 10 we picked up beef skirt for 12c to 15c a pound and then somebody figured out that Fajita was good and now who can afford a pound at $6.00. And folks wonder why I ask them to bring me back any Diamond Backs over 4 ft long. I might best be quiet, somebody will learn how good Rattle Snake is and make me pay for it, too.
