There is much talk on this forum about "samll sins" keeping folks out of heaven.
We all know that all it takes is one and since we are born in sin we are damned from the womb.
But what is sad is that many folks think that while on their "road to heaven" that "small sins" can keep you out of heaven. This is a lck of understanding of two things:
1. Calvary and what doctrinally happened there.
2. Folks don't know what sin is and how much they sin!!!!
Won't discuss #1 right now
Will dicsuss #2 because this is constantly brought up in the issue of OSAS. Well, let's just see hoW holy you really are?
1. 1 Cor 10:31 Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God.
Do you do ALL to the glory of God? If you don't then you just sinned - -every time you do not do something TO the glory of God then you are sinning? Now what are some of those things:
Breathing, seeing, hearing, working, watching TV (sports, beer commercials, Victoria Secrets commercials, etc.), mowing your lawn, fixing a flat without getting impatient, recieving an unexpected IRS bill, spanking your children, sleeping (how are your dreams lately), swimming, playing organized sports, going to the beach, playing cards, watching videos, etc. Get the picture. The verse says "ALL"!!!!!!
2. Rom 14:23...for whatsoever is not of faith is sin. 2 Cor 5:7 (For we walk by faith, not by sight
Do you do everything by faith? Really, everything - well if you don't you are sinning.
Now, here's the question- What do you do with those sins after you sin? You just claim I John 1:9? That's it - you mean you remember all your sins? You've confessed ALL those sins?
Some of you follks are amusing.
If Paul struggeld with sin in Romans 7 then I'm sure you are sinning more than Paul.
Summary - for you folks who are counting on you not sinning or you living without sin or limited sinning plus your man-made cure for getting rid of those sins then I have some depressing news for you.
YOU DON'T HAVE A PRAYER OUTSIDE CHRIST
But some of you will still say, "Yes, but you OSAS follks just believe you can sin and still go to heaven!"
My answer: "Yep!"
Strip out your clutch plates on that for a while.
For those here who understand grace - are we not thankful for grace!
God bless :o
