Do You Believe In gods and goddesses?

For the past 3 years, I've taken this question up as sort of a hobby. I was always taught that angels can't because of Mark 12:25.

Through listening to Chuck Missler, I've come to realize that angels, can, have, and do behave sexually against the will of God.

It's scattered all throughout culture as different gods and goddesses (which I don't believe were all myths). I don't believe they were gods, but angels.

Col. 2:18 warns about worshipping them, so I don't think my belief is contridictory. I've always believed in the myths and legends and through research have come to believe that most are true, with a few embelishments here and there.

My question is, does anyone else believe this? If so would anyone be interested in starting a group to research the very strange stories in past human history?

Well, I would not say that Chuck should be the foundation for your theology. He is a great guy, don't get me wrong. Met him a couple of times. But he is a little off on some of his ideas.

Actually, I don't think his ideas are off, he backs everything up with what information he has on the subject. And stuff he is not sure about, i've heard him say be careful. I've personally went back and researched some of his stuff, and I can't say I've found anything that is anti-biblical or wrong for that matter.

I was thinking in terms of what is known to be fictional (mythical) and what is amazing but perceived and generally accepted to be true (legendary).

You could say fairies are myths and I'm a legend - but then again that may just be a myth also.

Sorry - almost let my humour (or lack of) run away with me.
