The earth is sorta flat. It's on the back of a turtle, and it's turtles all the way down.
 
I'm pretty sure that the earth is round. There's a lot of pictures showing it to be round. I guess they might have a monumental conspiracy to deceive people about it but I couldn't guess the motive for it, or why they would lie about such a thing.

There is scripture that talks about rolling up the heavens like a scroll...I guess it's feasibly possible that everything is flat and we just don't recognize it. But again, what reason could be behind such a deception?

I watched this guy on youtube. He claims to be an artist that was hired to do art for NASA. He does hyper realism. He says all the pictures are, of course, fake. And that the whole moon landing was faked so they could reinforce the globe. Antarctica is militarized because it is the edge.

You can see in his eyes he needs Jesus.

I watched all those fake moon landing videos too. I think I believe them because I don't think they could have done it with 1960's technology. I think that they've probably been there since but that 1st one didn't happen methinks.

One’s inability to see the earth as God does will not change the mathematical concept of four corners. Is this just another metaphor?

It's amazing what people will lie about to get a little recognition (translated $$$).

Amazing what people can come up with. Never heard that one before.

But for this to be true, the north polar region would have to be the opposite "edge", and that would mean all those airliners on polar routes would just fly off into space! How would he explain that away? And if the Earth is flat, how does he explain "great circle navigation", which is the reason they use those polar routes? Why have all the ships and airlines always used that form of navigation, which on a round globe saves mileage and fuel by traveling in a curved line but on a flat surface would add mileage and waste fuel? Are all the world's shipping and airline transportation companies part of a global conspiracy to falsely prove the earth is round? and they are dedicated enough to it to waste billions of dollars in wasted fuel and miles of wear on their expensive equipment?

And all those expeditions to both poles? Those people all made it up too? Otherwise, wouldn't they have reported standing on the edge and looking off into space?

These people are entertaining at least. :)

Wow, I thought that the flat earth society was just a joke of some kind, but they actually have a forum and a few members. They aren't kidding.

Nope. They've been around for a long time. I had a friend join them way back in the early 70's. The guy was a genius, but he loved to shock and confuse people. He joined just so he could watch the reactions on people's faces (and laugh at them later) when he showed them he was a member!
 
The Earth is sorta flat. Some hills, valleys, and mountains, but overall, it's flat.
Even from an airplane, you can't tell if it's not flat.
Looking out into the sea, you can't tell that it's not flat.
What you have to do is accept someones theory that the Earth is not flat.

So I guess I would actually have to be standing on the moon to see that the Earth is round. We have seen pictures,but only a few have ever gone into space. Should we just take their word for it?

Do you really think that is still just a theory?

I mean, really, scientists have told us there is oxygen in the air and that is why breathing it keeps us alive. Do some people really need to go to a lab with a good microscope and see the oxygen molecules for themselves in order to consider this more than a theory? Don't we have enough solid evidence today to disprove the ignorance of centuries ago?
