Do you love humanity?

People need to love and forgive themselves before they can love and forgive others.

If people don't love and forgive themselves then how can they love and forgive others.

It always a blame game. It's aways someone else fault.

It's like saying God loves me, but if I don't love myself then I am disrespecting God who loves me. God forgives me, but I don't forgive myself, that's disrespecting God.

Everyone must learn to love, forgive, respect, and care for themselves first, every individual is there number one, then they can love, forgive, respect, and care for others.

Jesus wants people to focus on themselves yet people want to focus on him. He humbled himself for a reason to help people focus on themselves to learn to love, forgive, care for themselves so they can do the same for others.

Yes. But this is God's principle of family. Not to honor pedofile or bad parents. But the idea of family.
I honestly don't know for shure.
But i personaly choose to always put God first in all things. Then maybe honor people for the sake of helping.

Well i agree in the sense of that Jesus helps us help us and others.
I like to mow my own law before I help my neighbor..

You are right! I should have explained that what I believe is that no man can give honour unto themselves.
But God will give us the honour we need.
It's good to give honour to others.

What I meant is that we can't honour ourselves.

This is interesting. Because do all parents deserve honour? Pedofiles, abusers, those who leave their children alone and so on.
So this can't be talking about honouring parents as the works that they have done.
Maybe it's honouring parents as a principal for your own sake.

My parents weren't perfect. My older siblings would tease my father for being an indecisive procrastinator. They weren't worldly so to young adult eyes the may have appeared lacking guile and commonsense sometimes.
But their decency. Oh man, I haven't met such decent people in my life. And so loving and kind.
It's easy to honour them now. Because I can see their true value.

Interesting! And I especially like the idea of seeing their true value!
This might be how we should honour our parents, despite of their shortcomings.
And also people in general.
Because I believe God does it.
