To insinuate that every one of the people coming in here from Mexico is a lawbreaker is ludicrous. Many of them are law abiding citizens who are here to have a better life. That is like saying everyone from Texas lives in a trailer.

My statement was not that every single illegal does that, but the vast majority does and I am justified in that statement. Now you may be offended over it, but the facts are in my face every day and it comprises the majority of our arrests. How can they comprise the majority when there is only a fraction of their populace compared to the general Texas population? That's because most of them are the problem. You are dealing with those who have always lived at the dregs of society, and that's their way of life. That happens to be the class of those who violate the border. There are so many of these cases that immigration will no longer respond to our calls.
There is the impact of these illegals on our economy, our caseloads, our taxes, our insurance, personal offenses to others, jail population, violence, spread of drugs, and the list goes on and on. Those impacts are rarely considered by most people. On top of that, city budgets have to go up, the sizes of city jails, staffing, etc.

It is stereotyping like this that cause race problems.

So, according to your inference, we should all lay down and let them come in and violate everybody for the sake of not "stereotyping?":roll: I can't begin to tell you all the cases that come through the department. We aren't talking latinos, cube, We're talking about illegals. That makes your statistics N/A. Compare apple to apples if you're going to get the correct info. ILLEGAL population/offenses is the issue here and if you consider that, the percentage difference is high.

You didn't get anything I said. Let's try one more time:

The number of illegals coming over the border compared to amount that commit crimes is going to be most of them. Let's be true about whom we speak and stop the generalizing which leads to a false conclusion. Just because someone is Latino doesn't make them ILLEGAL. I'm comparing the illegal populace with it's own crime activity versus resident Texans and their own crime level. NOT latino crime versus other races.

I'm told over 100 illegals are crossing the border a day. I'm also told that a about 1/100 is a pregnant woman, hoping to birth her child in America. Because, technically, if you are born on American soil, you are automatically an American.

The illegals are being LET across the border by the border patrol. So, there is no excuse.

and after finding out how many deadly diseases these people are bringing over to America, it is very alarming. We are now having to start from square one to clean up the epidemics these people are bringing to our country with these diseases we had gained control over! Read the article and see how some cops caught TB just from making an arrest!
and after finding out how many deadly diseases these people are bringing over to America, it is very alarming. Yes, we have been informed about that. We just completed the "Infectious Disease Control" class, and even though it wasn't extensive, it was still an eye-opener. I am very conscious of the problem. The most imminent threat is hepatitis- A,B,& C. Probably moreso B&C. Just today we had a guy in there that had staff infection all accross the back of his neck, and what looked like on his arms too. I had to fingerprint him.

I can't understand why people are not more Careful with being sanitary! It is more important these days to constantly wash your hands and don't stand too close to strangers! When I tell my friends this, some of them look at me like I'm crazy and too paranoid! :-?

Imagine this people! Not all of them are sick but many of them are! Those illegal aliens love to go to the zoo! the museums, and any other place of recreation that you go to also!
They don't just come over here to work or do criminal acts. Many of them are innocent of crime, but then many of them are sick unaware of their own illnesses! They don't just come here to work and do nothing else!
They go to grocery stores, zoos, restaurants, movie theatres, etc. They are free to roam anyplace and go to any place of recreation and entertainment just the same as you and I !

I think it especially crucial, now that all of these illegals have come to this country, to be extremely aware of what touches your face and what you breath or touch! When I was a child my mom used to constantly tell me when we were out in public places to not touch, and now I see the need to implemnet her wisdom more now than when I was a child! Mom was right! When she said DON'T TOUCH THAT! You don't know who touched it before you! She was not being foolish or paranoid!

I don't know why, but many of these people from poverty sticken countries are not educated in regards to germs and how they are so easily transmitted! Either that, or they just don't care, and/or take the need for sanitary discipline for granted:-?

E.Coli is transmitted by animals. Many of those illegal aliens don't just work picking crops! They also work on farms with animals! And to think some of them then go to work in the kitchens of restaurants! parks, zoo's, any place of recreation or entertainment that anyone else in the United States is free to go to.

Too bad some of us don't pay attention to the importance of being sanitary in all situations!

Antitox, I wonder if that illegal alien who had staff infection all over his neck and arms worked with animals on some farm and wiped the sweat off of his neck while working with those animals. You think maybe he was shoveling cow manure, and then stopped to wipe the sweat off of his neck? And then he didn't bother to bath :-?

Here is more proof that touching animals and then not washing your hands is not wise at all!

My niece took her two small children to the petting zoo the other day. and then, As a result of reading this story, I was so concerned because, just two months ago there was an incident in which a group of small children had so much fun petting the animals at the zoo. It is a shame that after years of inoculating the citizens of America, and of being so careful of immigrant health issues and educating them in sanitary measures in in the past, to make sure they were not spreading diseases, has now been taken for granted by allowing these borders to be so open. It is so sad that our government has failed to recognize the seriousness of this situation.
