Does anyone have experience with Christadelphianism?

My Mom married someone from the Christadelphian faith, and she has converted and been baptised into that religion. I know some of the doctrine they teach, and much of it seems unscriptural, although they claim scripture as the basis for their teachings. I know there are many diverse views on the doctrines of the Bible, but I wanted to know if anyone has been involved with, or knows someone who has or is involved with this religion.

The basic views of it are:

Jesus is the Son of God, but he is not God. They do not support the Trinity. The Holy Spirit is not a personal entity.
There is no hell, and no Satan.
People cease to exist when they die. Their "spirit" goes back to God (it is the breath of God).
Only people who are deemed worthy to serve in Christ's kingdom will be raised to life to serve with Christ for 1000 years in Jerusalem.
Everyone else will be raised for judgement, and then die (cease to exist).
No-one is in heaven now except God & Jesus.
Satan is any form of sinful temptation -- it can be a person, place, or thing, but not a real personal being.
Hell is not real, but we will experience hell when we realize that we have been judged and will not serve with Christ.
I am not sure of what they think will happen after the 1000 year reign. My Mom mentioned that they didn't know what would happen after that, because she says it doesn't say specifically.

Any comments or discussion would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Hello, not knowing much of this religion, I am going to comment on what you have posted and completely agree that these ideas are un-Biblical in every sense. The problem is that there are many cults that come about and say that their faith is based on the Bible as they twist and change the meanings of the Bible and add words here and there to fit. This is no different the mormonism, j.w.'s, and the vast myriad of other cults that come about. The one thing that most disturbed me and is always present in each of the cults is the idea that Jesus is not God and that the Holy Spirit is nothing more then some force. Denial of the Trinity is a first clue in identifying someone who is following the enemy in the name of religion.

I hope that thread helps and maybe I will have to check it out too so I can be a little better versed in this attack on Christianity also.

God bless. <J><

Rule 8 - No Promotion of Other Religions:

You will not post any messages; links, images or photos that promote a religion or belief other than mainstream Christianity (atheism is considered a "belief" for the purposes of this rule). Debates of these doctrines are fine, as long as the beliefs are not actively promoted. This is a Christian Forums as the name suggest. If you cannot abide with this, please do not use our site.

John 14: 6. Jesus said to him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.

Not promoting another religion...

I thought this topic was "Christianity & Other Religions"? I am in no way promoting Christadelphianism. I am fully aware that it is not a Christian religion. As a matter of fact, I view it as a cult, as do many others. I thought this topic in the forum was to discuss other religions, although not to PROMOTE them. I'm sure many of us have relatives or loved ones who are involved in other religions, and need support and information. I apologize if I misunderstood the intent of this topic.

My question was to get more information so I know what I am up against. It would have been great if there had been someone who had the same issue with a relative or maybe themselves, who had then converted to Christianity. My mom followed the Christian faith until her marriage, at which time she converted. I am only concerned about her salvation, as I am concerned about anyone who is unsaved.

God Bless,

The above thread addressing the promotion of non-Christian religion was not aimed toward you. You see your post there because the person that had their post edited by BB had quoted you. It was infact that person who was asked not to promote false religions. Your post was just fine and we appreciate the opportunity to discuss these topics as we all need to know what we are up against. Hope that clears it up.

If it's so important why didnt Jesus say anything about it!!!!!!
