Does God want us to bang tambourines on the Church? Why do so many Churches use tambourines?
 
For my part anything beyond the Piano, and Organ falls into ill repute. :)

I just noticed the topic. I think God probably would not mind, but the building owners might take offence at banging the paint off the walls. :lol :lol
 
Let's consult the bible.

Second Samuel 6: 5: David and the whole house of Israel were celebrating with all their might before the LORD, with songs and with harps, lyres, tambourines, sistrums and cymbals.

There's other verses that are essentially the exact same thing. So I'd say there is precedent for all sorts of instruments in worship.
