Do you have a purpose in starting threads and then not contributing to them when other posters respond?

Yep. Whenever I post a thread and don't respond, I am just reading everything. I am not obligated to contribute to the threads that I start if I choose not to. I ask a lot of questions because I am interested in what others think about stuff. There are times I will respond but for the most part, I just like to read the thoughts of others. Of course, no one is obligated to respond to my threads either, and that is fine.

Fair enough :salute .

I think that it's too early to tell what scientists will conclude about Ida. She is a really neat fossil, though.

It's going to be a long time before we figure out precisely where this one fits. The real key is that we now know where to look for more. As with whales, once you find something like this, you then have some idea where related species might be.

Good hunting.
