Does praying in the spirit mean to pray in tongues? Doesn't the Bible also tell us to walk in the spirit? Can we then conclude we can walk in tongues?

Okay, Dave. No more threads about tongues. We have enough. The discussions are becoming to fragmented that people are having a hard time keeping their trains of thought consistent. Start some threads on once saved always saved, predestination, or the principles of biblical interpretation.

Will do! :yes

But in due time. ;)

And Dave, don't allow me to get away with gross grammatical mistakes like that! That should be "too fragmented."

It's all good. ;)

I was simply just trying to get down to the nitty gritty.

:shocked! (not them again!)

... or the principles of biblical interpretation.
That would be a good topic. That would be a good Bible Study also. :yes

Of course NOT. For: God is NOT the author of confusion but of PEACE as in ALL churches of the Saints.

If we are IN The Spirit, then when we pray, (in our OWN language), we ARE praying IN The Spirit.

Speaking in tongues may well BE praying IN A spirit. But it has NOTHING to do with The Holy Spirit.

Blessings,

MEC

I just pray in my own language. Seems to work just fine.
I do, however, do a lot of praying with my mind, without spoken words, especially when I dont want the enemy to know whats in my heart.
