Does the Bible say to get drunk in the spirit? Let's see the scriptures.

Well the one that immediately springs to mind is Ephesians 5 v 18:" Do not get drunk on wine, which leads to debauchery. Instead, be filled with the Spirit."

um..nope.

I recommend the book of John on this matter.

Christ said he would not leave us as orphans.
We all have different gifts of the spirit.
The Holy Spirit fills us. We still have free will.

and i think you are refering to being slain in the spirit.

not sure how that would bring edification and glory to God.
Now using our talents through the power of the Holy Spririt.
that would.

Being slain in the Spirit, is not the same as being filled with the Spirit. Being filled with the Spirit is more about personal sanctity and holiness and subjection.
BTW there are a lot manufactured "slayings in the Spirit". That is the thing where someone just faints and falls down from the power of the Spirit...be careful of people faking this.I used to go to an Apostolic church of Canada. The pastor was great...but sometimes in zeal he wanted to do this slaying of the Spirit. I think it was quite manufactured. I do however, remember some neat things. I used to get so blessed from praying in the church. Used to do it for hours. It was a good congregation.
Just looking at the questions you have asked so far. You might want to find a good evangelical church...or David Hocking or Chuck Missler on youtube are great teachers. I spent 2 years in Bible college and I find their teaching is deep. Seems to me they are affiliated with Calvary Chapel in the states.
To finish with the original question? The two things mentioned aren't even related. Don't get drunk...instead be filled with the Spirit. It has nothing to do with being drunk in the Spirit.

just visiting.

I believe we view things the same. I was looking more for an explanation of the original question :)
