Hi Dave!
The devil has no power or authority over our spirits. He therefore has only two other things he can 'work' on, our soul and our body.
He tries to make us 'crazy' and he tries to get us to do things with our body we shouldnt.
Why does he do this? To avoid us from awakening to the fact that we are not our minds, we are not our bodies, we are newly created spirits. This spirit is in christ, and he cannot touch it, or corrupt it, and he does not want you to know that he is absolutelly powerless against it.
So he walks around trying to mess with our minds trying to keep the 'old man's' memories alive so that you will forget that you are a new man, and feel like you are defeated most of the time.
