Does the name matter?(Sequel to is Harold...)

Dave recently asked if Harold is an attractive name for a man. Now, this is a separate topic, but names do make for an interesting conversation. When you are considering a gf/bf how much does the name matter?

Alright, let me throw out a few curveball situations:

1) The guy/girl has the same name as you brother/sister or your dad/mom
2) The guy/girl has the same name as an ex who treated you pretty bad

Well, in my opinion, a potential date having the same name as a brother/sister/mom/dad isn't too bad. It's actually kind of funny. I'm not too sure about them having the same name as an ex who treated you badly, as that might bring back painful memories.

Tend to agree.

In answer to the OP, No I don't think they matter and I'll agree with JoJo's scale.

Here's anoher one: What if they have the same name as you? I.e. Toni and Tony?

1) That might give them some brownie points :lol
2) I'd RUN...far away... :crying. Sad but true, recalling a bad relationship sucks. That's why we are meant to stay with whomever we marry. Too many destructive people out there.

Ok, I'm not single but do check out this forum once in a while.

My husband's name is Michael. Fairly common, right? So common that it's also my dad's name.

When I was younger, I thought I would never marry someone with the same name as my dad/brothers. But, I guess when the good Lord provided, you don't get picky.
