China won't take ours now
They said.they have enough of their own
;lol
Recycling is really a big nimby .as most wouldn't do it if they could see that it was simply being tossed in the trash, this unless you buy recycled plastics, paper at 100 percent which well virgin materials will have to be because if population growth .not many will pay more for recycled stuff when virigin is cheaper.

My city give 2 bins. One for recycling, and one for regular. So I make some reasonable effort to put stuff in the right bins. It's best to keep the city happy.

Wow, ridiculous 0_0
Its coming to,all areas who want mandatory recycling .my,county is thinking of fining.a coworker doesn't recycle ,he dumps it all.its trash in not washing trash ,plastic cardboard so that they can reuse it.he says

It's all about money
Its why I'm,against it .not, all of it .like many, things touted as green its often not

Polyethylene seems to be doing well. Recently, I got a bench for the front porch made of polyethylene boards, which looks just like painted wood, and does very well.

Others, not so much. We thought we were coming to the end of easily-extracted oil, and then fracking extended that. Eventually though, it will come to an end, end and our future descendants will be mining landfills for plastic.

Or another means to use something that has similar qualities .

Household recycling is more expensive than it's worth...too many people do it wrong and separating it further (because it's needed) at the collection facilities is really expensive and hazardous.

Industrial selling of "Jax products" is cost effective...

Used motor oil put through filters and reformulated becomes all kinds of things... including more motor oil.

Plastics can become everything from dashboards to lawn furniture. Most plastics are required to be a certain percentage of used plastics.

Glass... anything... except windows.

Metal...brake rotors and hubs, door closers, and just about anything that needs to be forged.

Of course all metals bring some kind of price. Copper usually brings more. Brass and aluminum bring less...steel brings the least.

All cardboard boxes must contain a large percentage of used paper. Greeting cards are 100% used paper. Box crushers at the grocery store bring in money and are provided free by the paper MFG.

Even orange peels from OJ MFGs get sold to Farmers for cattle feed to give them a boost of vitamin C.

Wheat straw (after the wheat is gone) becomes MDF board and turned into furniture.

Ashes from coal fired Electrical generators becomes drywall.

So...
Recycling is already big business.

Feathers from poultry producers become something...can't remember. (Carbon fiber?... Electrical insulation?)

Human waste ,milorganite, fertiliser and other names .

Bottom line, we're getting smarter at taking care of this world. And that's not a bad thing at all.
I'm not anti environment so just against things sold as green, which aren't .

Septic tank bad but city utilizes which deep, well inject ok.hmm, aquifer nearby .septic tanks by nature filter the stiff anyway .if taken care of.

Actually, based on how I understand our septic system to work, I believe it is a very good method of handling human waste.

Our system is completely enclosed system. All waste is delivered to a dual chambered sealed tank. All solid matter settles in the first chamber where bacteria consumes it and the liquid overflows into a second chamber. From there, the liquid is pumped to an above ground mound where it is able to leech into the soil.

The advantage I see is that most of the water we pull from the aquifer is returned rather than evaporating into the atmosphere. City systems have open ponds where the water evaporates rather than returning it to the aquifer where it originally came from. Our aquifers are taking quite a hit from our wells, roadways, buildings, parking lots, etc. and water supply could become a serious problem eventually.

Depends local cities ,treat it ,then remove sludge ,seen that ,then pump it into, the ground .others treat it and release into rivers or ocean .

This is a private system. I know of no current updated private system that releases the waste water into rivers or oceans. Outdated ones maybe.

Privates ones hear realease it into, canal then into the lagoon .it,will, reach the ocean eventually .

That would only be old systems and not new ones, right?

Most old private septic systems are on,the county ,and new ones aren't being built .that's as far as I know .the county treats it reuse and simply empties into, the marsh out west or ones they have nearby ,and close to river thus the same .the city uses a deep well injection
