Doing stupid stuff...

Don't you hate it when you do something stupid? I forgot my jump drive yesterday in the library, and now, it's gone. It wasn't turned in, and I've recieved no messages from complete strangers saying they have it in their possession. I'm not sure I've done something this materialistically devastating in a while. It had more on it than I want to think about. I'm afraid it's lost forever, as well as all that was on it. Thankfully, much of what was on it I have as a hard copy somewhere, but still, that means I'll have to re-type it all and save it - this time in TWO places, at least. And the stuff that I don't have a hard copy of is gone totally. I'm just incredibly irritated with myself at the moment.

Has anyone else done something like this that they want to share?

Sorry to put a damper on your day. I do really hope that you all have a wonderful day.

In Christ,

CLY

Aww, I totally feel your pain. Computers can be so great and so frustrating at the same time!

Heh! LOL Where do you want me tp start? How about leaving two overcoats on the train over the last month. You'd think I'd be more careful the first time. 8-)

Then there's the time I left a portable CD player with my expensive headphones and Jaci Velasquez CD in a taxicab, never to be seen again.

Then there was... :o

:-D

I crossed wired my buick when I tried to jump a dead battery the other night.... It was dark so I couldnt see I switched the negative and positive.....

It was smoking like a furnace......

I went to Denver to see the 2000 All Star game (hockey) and left two notebooks of CD's there.

They were mostly my favorite CD's as well.

I had probably 100 CD's that I will never see again. :sad

This, believe it or not is a true story, I was in my late teens, early 20’s…

One time when I was doing a midnight brake job on my car, of course it was after work so I could get to work the next day, I took off the caliper and when I went to put the new one back on, I couldn’t find it anywhere! I looked all around the car, I looked in the garage and I even looked in the house. It wasn’t anywhere to be found, it had disapeared!

I searched for over 40 minutes, I was sooooo mad! Finally, in despair, I sat on my little 5 gallon bucket I was using for a seat, put down what was in my hands, lit a cigarette and put my head in my hands in total apathy. I swear, I was about to cry when suddenly I noticed what I had just sat down… what I had packed around for the past 40 minutes and I just couldn’t find it…my missing caliper.

I accidently left my face on a guard rail south of Denver on Santa Fe Trail one time. I will never do that again, I promise!

After flying 98 feet in the air after my motorcycle crash into a guardrail, I hit the guardrail face first, no helmet, and lived to talk about it.

My facial injuries were the worst injuries that the hospital staff in Denver had seen, and they were surprised that I lived.

I should write a song and title it, "I left my face, in Colorado". :D

Sometimes I'll go to the store for a specific reason, and on my way back home I'll remember I didn't get whatever I went out for in the first place.

You all know how to make a girl feel better. I'm sorry for all the stuff that's happened to you, though. Especially you, Solo, that must have been...awful, not to mention painful and expensive. I'm glad you're alive to tell the tale. Praise God for that!

Well, I suppose all that's left to say is, may God bless us with better sense and memories in the morning. :D
