Doing the works of Jesus

In Luke 18 Jesus is talking about His soon coming. In verse 8, Jesus is looking for faith to be found on the earth. He wants hearts to be right. Notice the Church is not here because we have been raptured by then. During the time of the great Tribulation, there will be many who are ready to be witnesses for Jesus to bring people to faith in our Lord Jesus Christ.

Right now, Jesus is looking for faith people. Remember the centurions faith. It takes much for God to marvel. The Centurion was not a believer, but he understood Authority. He also recognized that Jesus was a man of Authority. Where did Jesus get this authority from? From God of course. He had the powrer to heal from the Holy Spirit. Let's look at the Samaritan woman. She wanted Jesus to heal her daughter and she had persistence. God does honor faith. All one has to do is look at Hebrews 11, the faith hall of fame. Our faith is precious to God. Faith does work and designed to work and not to fail. Didn't Abraham have great faith? You bet. What did he do? He believed God when in the natural it looked impossible for Sarah to bear a child. Nothing is impossible with God. He was made a Father of all nations. He was given land, supply that was more than enough. And you know what? We are his spiritual descendants. From one blessing, we receive many blessings. Most people don't undrerstand God. We have all these religions of the world, and all kinds of denominations with differeent doctrines. You know what? God said in His Word we are His temple. You see in Haggai 2:9: The glory of this latter temple shall be greater than the former, says the Lord of Hosts. And in this place I will give peace sdays the Lord of Hosts. We did have the revivals of the past. We had great men of God, but our generation is greater.

We are God's faith representatives. We are the Body of Christ. We have been delagated and authoritized.

More later.

In Acts 1:4 we see the promise of the Father. In verse 5 we see the promise that we should be baptized in the Holy Ghost. Folks, this is not an option, but is a commandment. God wants to give us power, wants us to be witnesses. We are evidence of what Jesus did. Right now, He is seated at the right hand of the Father. We are seated in heavenly places with Him. What a honor He has bestowed upon us. I believe what Jesus did, we are to be doing. Boy, the Lord has great trust in us. The central issue is is to make known His goodness. How do we do that? We go out and preach the Gospel. We lay hands on the sick to be healed. We drive demons out of people. We teach them His Word. We counsel the confused and down trodden. We feed the hungry. Jesus did these things and so should we. WEe don't need to be huddled in Church. Jesus said go. Just coming to church is not doing the work of the Ministry. We need to show people what God is like. I am not saying that we shouldn't be involved in church. People should see church in us. There are many bad trees out there and thyey cannot bear good fruit. Folks, this is why Oral Roberts started his school. He wanted to make people see God's healing power through the ministries of the legal, medical, engineering, and other worlds of vocations. People are crying out for something, and we need to go out more than ever.

This reminds me of same dialogue from a movie called The American President:

Lewis Rothschild: You have a deeper love of this country than any man I've ever known. And I want to know what it says to you that in the past seven weeks, 59% of Americans have begun to question your patriotism.
President Andrew Shepherd: Look, if the people want to listen to-...
Lewis Rothschild: They don't have a choice! Bob Rumson is the only one doing the talking! People want leadership, Mr. President, and in the absence of genuine leadership, they'll listen to anyone who steps up to the microphone. They want leadership. They're so thirsty for it they'll crawl through the desert toward a mirage, and when they discover there's no water, they'll drink the sand.
President Andrew Shepherd: Lewis, we've had presidents who were beloved, who couldn't find a coherent sentence with two hands and a flashlight. People don't drink the sand because they're thirsty. They drink the sand because they don't know the difference.

I believe we should be preaching that Jesus is coming soon. One might say, we would be looked upon as fools. But if we carefully look at 1 Cor. 4:6-21, it tells me to be fools for Christ's sake. Our generation is the cutting edge. We need to be prepared and ready to go. We had people like Smith Wigglesworth, and many before us. This is our time and not just something that happened years ago. We need revival that can take the world by hands and lead them to Christ. Is there going to be a time when our churches are going to be opened 7-24? Is there going to be a time when we see big tents all over our country with anointed preachers bringing people to Christ and we are all anointed? We also need to go global. We have guranteed results. Not like Star Bucks, which is going global. We can do all things through Christ Who strengthens us. We can live a victorious life. We are the head and not the tail. Satan is a defeated foe and under our feet. All authority has been given to us to use the name of Jesus to heal, destroy the works of Satan, drive out demons, and grace ( ability) to bring the message of the Gospel to the lost. I believe we need to invest. The book of Acts hasn't been completed yet. You don't believe this? Read Haggai 2:9: The glory of this latter temple shall be greater than the former, says the Lord of hosts. And in this place I will give peace says the Lord of hosts. Peace means nothing less, and nothing broken. We need to be whole. We are the temple of God. We are the glorious Church. Rise up. No more substandard life. Folks, we need to make a difference.

What do you make of this small passage in John 6?

Do not work for food that spoils, but for food that endures to eternal life, which the Son of Man will give you. On him God the Father has placed his seal of approval."

Then they asked him, "What must we do to do the works God requires?"

Jesus answered, "The work of God is this: to believe in the one he has sent."

Greetings folks!

I just wanted to pop into this conversation - briefly - to say "Hello" really. I noticed my old friend's name here and just had to tell him hi.

What's going on Jack!? I just want you to know that you have been - and will continue to be in my daily prayers. Truly. Every day... I pray for you - and I am sure you know my prayer intention. ;-) I'm not giving up on you my friend! :D

Good to see you are still seeking Him! And I hope you and your family are doing well. Take care my brother.

May the Lord be with you!

Hi Jason, Good to see you here. Did you leave the other site? I did because of many false teachers there. My Ministry is doing great. Moving to Colarado in 20 months. Expect to be preaching at some churches there.

Are you still going to school? I will be praying for you that you be led by the Spirit of God to get out of the dead church you are in and get into a Bible based Church, which teaches the Bible and not just religion. One of these days God is goiing to get you. Must go now.
